    Key performance areas of the programme:

    • Performing project support skills
    • Ensuring that research processes are managed and followed (this includes all aspects, from data collection, design and quant/qualitative analysis to report writing and visual presentation of data)

The successful candidates will provide research and administrative support as well as provide assistance with research, implementation and project delivery tasks in accordance with Mandela Mining. The candidates will be placed in the information technology, geoscience, mining and social sciences areas.

    1) Programme: Mining Engineering Internships
    Number of positions available: 4
    Key performance areas of the programme:

    • Reviewing the literature of previous research that was done internationally and locally in the above-mentioned areas
    • Using various mine sites and mining engineering technologies to undertake motion and time studies
    • Corresponding with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) regarding technologies related to the above areas at different mine sites
