    1. I represent and confirm that I am the originator or owner of the proposal and I am entitled to submit it to M-Net for consideration.

I acknowledge that M-Net receives many submissions of ideas, formats, stories, suggestions, and other materials that may be similar to my proposal and it may already be considering similar or identical ideas. I further acknowledge that M-Net may be producing or may have already produced ideas similar to my proposal. I therefore understand and agree that I will not be entitled to any compensation if M-Net subsequently commissions or produces material similar to my proposal.
    3. Save where M-Net has agreed otherwise in writing, any material I send to M-Net will not be treated as confidential. Accordingly, I agree that: (i) such material shall not be subject to any obligation of confidence on the part of M-Net; (ii) no confidential or fiduciary relationship is intended or created between me and M-Net in any way; (iii) I have no expectation of review, compensation or consideration of any type.
    4. M-Net’s receipt of the ideas and materials in my unsolicited proposal is not an admission by M-Net of their novelty, priority, or originality, and it does not limit M-Net’s right to contest existing or future intellectual property rights relating to my proposal. Further, by accepting my proposal, M-Net shall not adversely affect any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights it may already have or which it may seek to assert in the future.
    5. M-Net reserves the right to delete any proposal which, in its sole discretion, it considers offensive, defamatory, racially prejudicial or unlawful or which otherwise infringes any rights of third parties.
    6. I hereby indemnify M-Net against or absolve M-Net from any responsibility or liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment I suffer as a result of my submission of the proposal.

    About Mzansi Magic

    Mzansi Magic is a South African digital satellite and general entertainment channel created by Multichoice and run by M-Net’s local interest division, and is broadcast on DStv.[1]

    History

    The channel launched in mid-July 2010 on channel 107 as M-Net’s platform to boost local production and showcase entertainment in South Africa. Through the channels development, M-Net would engage with local producers, partnering with South African filmmakers to create gripping content with universal appeal while empowering new and upcoming talent and ensuring that key skills are transferred to the industry.[2][3]

    The channel launched with a six-hour programming block with a mix original local series and international movies. It was headed by film veteran Lebone Maema. The channel began broadcasting in HD on the 24th July 2015.[4]

    Programming

    Mzansi Magic primarily focuses on original local productions and feature films from South Africa, with a few additions of international content.

    Soapies, Dramas and Telenovelas[

    The channel carries original drama series and telenovelas. Titles include The Queen, Gomora, Isibaya and The Republic. The channel also carries drama series from its sister channels and co-productions from Showmax like Jacob’s Cross, The River , Grassroots and Trackers.[5][6]

    Reality, Talk and Magazine

    The channel has a strong focus on highly popular reality series, most notably Date My Family, Our Perfect Wedding, Mnakwethu, Idols South Africa, Living The Dream with Somizi and Being Bonang amongst others. It also includes international talk shows like The Talk and The Doctors.[7]

    Sports

    The carries some content which is simulcasted with SuperSport. This includes highlights of WWE Raw and SmackDown, as well as the Nedbank Ke Yona Team Search.

    Music

    The channel has music specials and interviews with local artists.

    Movies

    Initially, the channel carried several international movie titles and as time went on it worked with new upcoming producers and veterans in the industry. The channel has come to categories these made-for-TV movie titles as ‘Lokshin Bioskop’ and proved to be popular amongst DStv subscribers.

    About the Show

    Housekeepers is a South African television drama series which revolves around a woman who goes undercover as a housekeeper into a rich family’s house in order to bring them to justice when her loved one is framed for murder.

    In the first season, Linda Ndlovu (Thando Thabethe) hides her identity behind an apron as she assumes the role of a housekeeper in an attempt to bring the Zwide Family to justice.

    Set against the backdrop of sophisticated Fourways and vibrant Diepsloot, a chain of events unfolds in which we learn about the secrets that bind the Zwide family and the people that make their beds every morning, keep their homes clean and are the invisible souls that know their employers’ sins.

    After getting her revenge on the Zwide family in Season 1, the second season finds Linda on a quest to clear her name of the Zwide murders when she takes on a new job working for the Ngubane family.

    A feisty new detective begins connecting the dots and realises that when it comes to last season’s killings, all evidence points to the protagonist, Linda.

      purposes of considering me as a participant in the Big Brother Mzansi production.
    2. I have read and agree to be bound by the conditions set out in this document entitled Big Brother Mzansi –

    3. I have answered all of the questions on the audition form fully, honestly and accurately and I confirm I have not
      misled or attempted to mislead the Producers in any way as to my identity, experiences or in any other way;
    4. If any of the information I have given in the audition form is found to be false, the Producers will be entitled to
      exclude me from the Big Brother Mzansi participant audition process.
    5. If I am short listed by the Producers, I am prepared to undergo psychological and medical screening. I
      understand that the full details of this will be explained to me in advance.
    6. If I am short-listed I also agree to authorise the Producers to conduct background checks in order to verify any
      of the information I have supplied. I understand that consenting to these checks is no guarantee of being
      chosen to participate.
    7. Even if I am selected as a participant, the Producers have no obligation to produce the programme and even if
      the programme is made there will be no obligation on the Producers or any broadcaster to broadcast it;
    8. All decisions by the Producers concerning selection of the participants are final and no reasons will be given. I
      agree not to challenge or appeal against those decisions.
    9. I will keep strictly confidential and will not, without the prior written consent of the Producers, at any time from
      the date I sign this audition form and for twelve (12) months following the first transmission on television of the
      final episode of Big Brother Mzansi, disclose, publish or reveal to any person any incident, conversation or
      information concerning the series or the audition/selection process which comes to my knowledge as a result of
      my inclusion in the participant selection process and/or the Big Brother Mzansi series, if selected, nor other
      information relating to Endemol, M-Net/MultiChoice Group of Companies or the Big Brother Mzansi series
      acquired by me during this period, without consultation with the publicity organs of either Endemol, M-Net or

    About Mzansi Magic

    Mzansi Magic is a South African digital satellite and general entertainment channel created by Multichoice and run by M-Net’s local interest division, and is broadcast on DStv.

    History

    The channel launched in mid-July 2010 on channel 107 as M-Net’s platform to boost local production and showcase entertainment in South Africa. Through the channels development, M-Net would engage with local producers, partnering with South African filmmakers to create gripping content with universal appeal while empowering new and upcoming talent and ensuring that key skills are transferred to the industry.

    The channel launched with a six-hour programming block with a mix original local series and international movies. It was headed by film veteran Lebone Maema. The channel began broadcasting in HD on the 24th July 2015.
