    Transnet is offering a Electro Mechanician apprenticeship to a trainee to join their Engineering team. During the apprenticeship, the candidate will report to the Manager. The aim of the programme is to offer candidates comprehensive bursaries and train them as professional Artisans.

    Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

    • Attending all training pertaining to theory
    • Completing knowledge review tests
    • Partake in training that is practical
    • Performing workplace components

    ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP

    The Discovery Learnership programme is made up of structured classroom learning components and practical working experience and, totaling 1400 learning hours.

    The programme has been registered with the Education, Training and Development Practices SETA (ETDP) and students who complete the programme will receive a South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) accredited qualification.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • South African citizen
    • Between 18 and 30 years old
    • Completed Matric
    • Passed Mathematics in Matric with a minimum “D” symbol or level 4
    • Passed English in Matric with a minimum “C” symbol or level 5
    • Passed a second language in Matric with a minimum “D” symbol or level 4
    • Passed a minimum of two languages in Matric with a minimum “D” symbol or level 4
    • Not currently employed
    • Not studying (or planning to study) during the course of the learnership programme
    • Not previously completed any learnerships
    • Have basic computer skills
    • Good communication skills in English
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Interested in the pharmacy environment
    • Interested in customer service
    • Self motivated

    DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

    Locations: Bloemfontein, Free State
    Contract term: 12 months
    Job functions: Logistics, Warehouse & Distribution

    Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa are inviting suitably qualified applicants to apply for their 12 month Warehouse Learnership. The purpose of the programme is to allow students to grasp the underlying principles of major areas relating to distribution within the Wholesale & Retail sector. Learners must achieve a minimum of 120 credits in order to qualify for the Qualification.
    Learners will be required to perform the following tasks during the programmes:

    • Receiving stock into the wholesale or retail outlet
    • Maintenance of stock balances
    • Picking stock
    • Packaging of stock in suitable selected areas
    • Picking, packing and moving stock to minimize damage
    • Stock take procedures
    • Recording stock movement on the stock management system
    • Stock flow through the DC/Warehouse
    • Financial affect of stock on the business
    • Admin functions relating to stock receipt and delivery
    • Safe delivery of stock to customers
    • Reading, writing and verbal communication inside of the distribution environment
    • Rational and irrational numbers and number systems
    • Wholesale & retail business environment
    • Legal requirement, organization policies and procedures for transporting goods
    • Legislation in regard to Occupational Health and Safety and suitable safety procedures in the workplace
    • Maintaining Customer service and satisfaction levels
    • Maintaining Internal and external housekeeping standards
    • Taking action with regards to hazards and emergency situations

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

    Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

    • Must have completed Matric and have passed Mathematics and Science (minimum)
    • Must have completed a Logistics Management Diploma qualification (advantageous but not essential)
    • Working experience: none required
    • Must be unemployed
    • Must pay high attention to detail
    • Must be able to interact well within a team
    • Must be able to work effectively in teams
    • Must be self-motivated
