ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:

Atlanta Sugar SA, a subsidiary of BKB Ltd, is one of the top sugar packaging companies in South Africa, and one of the largest Sugar pre-packers in Swaziland.

Atlanta Sugar SA started operating over 15 years ago and was purchased by BKB Ltd in 2012. The factory and distribution centre are located in Matsapha, Swaziland and our their administration offices are based in Kempton Park, Gauteng.

The company prides themselves on state-of-the-art premises and equipment, to provide all spheres of the sugar, castor sugar, icing sugar and blending markets.

DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Atlanta Sugar are looking for learners to join their Merchandising Learnership programme. Candidates will be expected to partake in practical (on the job training) as a Merchandiser at various wholesalers, as well as attend classes twice a month. Learners who complete the programme will acquire a National Certificate: W&R Visual Merchandising NQF3 (63409).

Duration of programme: 12 months
Locations: Johannesburg, Pretoria North, Pretoria West, Springs, Rustenburg
Salary: learners will receive a monthly stipend.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

• Must be a South African citizen
• Must reside in the following surrounding areas: Marble Hall / Johannesburg (Roodepoort, Evaton, CBD, Crown Mines) / Mabopane (North of Pretoria) / Pretoria West / Rustenburg / Springs
• Must be unemployed
• Age requirement: must be between 18 and 29 years old
• Education requirement: must have completed Grade 12 (Matric)
• Must be willing to work retail hours (Monday to Saturday)
• Skills required: must be a team-player, must have good communication skills, must have good time management skills
• Must be an EE candidate (person of colour)
• Males and females may apply
