    Location: Bloemfontein, Free State

    Oliewenhuis Art Museum (as part of the National Museum of Bloemfontein) is offering an internship opportunity for the position of Art Museum Guides. Candidates will be required to interact with visitors on a professional level, interact with different types of people, handle any queries from visitors as well as have adequate knowledge about visual art. During the programme, candidates will also have the responsibility of ensuring that the security and safety of all exhibition artworks are maintained and be required to work intermittent shifts during the week/weekends.

    Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

    • Ensuring that all artworks on exhibition are kept safe and secure
    • Interacting professionally with all visitors and handling any questions they may have regarding Oliewenhuis Art Museum exhibitions (both permanent and temporary)
    • Conducting Guided Tours that are informative
    • Providing assistance with exhibitions, general administration tasks, educational workshops, projects and events, activities, and after-hour events.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

    Interns will partake in a 12 month programme, which once completed will inclue a formal assessment to determine the competency of being appointed as a Prosecutor in South African Courts. Once candidates pass the test, they may be appointed as entry level Prosecutors in the District Courts.

    The Prosecutor will then be responsible for:

    • Conducting prosecutions
    • Attending to all matters relating to prosecutions
    • Being a gatekeeper of criminal law
    • Representing public interest in the criminal justice process

    DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

    Sonke is offering an internship opportunity in their Human Resources Department. The candidate will be working under the Human Resources Manager and Co-Ordinator, partaking in a number of Human Resources administrative tasks and desk-top research support.

    Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

    • Providing assistance in the recruitment and selection process
    • Providing assistance in implementing the Employee Wellness and Staff Development Programmes
    • Providing assistance with drafting Human Resources policies
    • Proving assistance in the execution (roll-our) of Human Resources Policies
    • Conducting interviews
    • Performing general Human Resources tasks

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

    The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Library and Information Services Directorate, Community Development Department are inviting youth residing within Johannesburg to apply for the internship programme. The aim of of the programme is to allow students to experience on-the-job exposure and attain academic qualifications as a pre or post requirement for academic qualifications in accordance with the increasing demands of the tertiary institution.

    The main goal of the intern is to: provide a professional level of administrative work, research and development, and policy development to the IPPR Directorate.
