ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:
The Gauteng Film Commission (GFC) is an agency of the Gauteng Provincial Government. They aim to promote, develop and coordinate the television and film production industry of the country as well as ensuring Gauteng is one of the worlds leading destinations for film-making and international investments. The GFC aims to enhance and ensure that the industry contributes to the growth of the province, economically; that Gauteng is marketed; and that their residents truly enjoy and experience ‘the magic of cinema.’ The GFC works closely with stakeholders and the government to ensure that the audiovisual industry grows and is sustainable. GFC has the vision to cultivate the environment and provide support to the transformation of the sector, ensuring there is a constant meaningful socio-economic development of the province.
DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Gauteng
Duration: 12 months
Pay/ Stipend: R5 000 per month
The Gauteng Film Commission, partnered with MICT SETA is offering 12-month internship opportunities to young, unemployed graduates. During these programmes, candidates will partake in on-the-job development training in different Film/ Television Production and Marketing/Communications companies and agencies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
General Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be a Gauteng resident
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old
- Must be unemployed
Programme educational requirements:
- Camera Assistance: must have completed a Diploma / Degree in Film Production or Film and Television or a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production or Post-Production
- Graphic Design: must have completed a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production
- Financial Management: must have completed a Diploma / Degree in Financial Management
- Information Technology: must have completed a Bachelor of Arts Film and Media Production
- Legal Services: must have completed a Legal Qualification or LLB Degree
- Marketing and Communication: must have completed a Diploma / Degree in Marketing and Communications
- Post Production: must have completed a Diploma / Degree in Film Production or Film and Television or a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production or Post-Production
- Production Design: must have completed a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production
- Production Manager: must have completed a Diploma / Degree in Production or Operations Management
- Project Management and Research: must have completed a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production or a Diploma / Degree in Research
