Check BECE Results : BECE examination is for certification and selection to Senior High Schools and Technical Institutions in Ghana. Students may eligible to appear in Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the end of JHS (Junior High School). However, BECE Exam conducted once in every year in the month of June.

BECE  Results Release Date:

• The basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is likely to be released in September. On the other hand, last year i.e. BECE Results were published on 13th September. Students who will successfully be qualified for this exam, then this results will help them to get admission into Senior High Schools and Technical Institutes across the country.

BECE 

• At the present time admission in BECE is done in the month of October/November each year and it normally takes six weeks. Participating Schools in Ghana upload their Statement of Entries and School Choice Files on the internet for processing. Furthermore, schools approved by the Ghana Education Service are eligible to register students to take the BECE each year.

BECE Subjects:

The following are the subjects for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

• English language
• Mathematics
• Integrated Science
• Social Studies
• Religious and Moral Education (R.M.E)
• French
• Ghanaian language (Any Ghanaian language offered at candidate’s school)
• Basic Design and Technology (B.D.T)
• Information Communication and Technology (I.C.T)

BECE Grading:

• Presently BECE certificate/result is based on a grading system.  Therefore, grades are calculated based on performance in the external examination (in addition objective and written) and Continuous (Internal) Assessment score provided by the schools.
• A nine-point scale helps to determine the present grading system. Candidates with Grade 1 denoting the highest performance whereas Grade 9 the lowest.

BECE School Placement System:

• Generally, candidates selection to Senior High Schools is done by the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)-The Computerized School Selection and Placement System – a computerized system used by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to place qualified Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates fairly into Senior High School, Technical Institutes, and the Vocational Institution Institute.

• Generally, the BECE exam results are released in the month of August/September. Successfully qualified candidates may get admission into Senior High Schools and Technical Institutes at the beginning of the academic year in September. After the declaration of the bece results, without delay, the lists are also sent to the participating schools. Indeed from school, each candidate may get a statement of bece results through his/her school.

BECE Certificate:

• Despite online results, certificates provide to the successful candidates by 30 days of the results announcement date. Generally, certificates are sent to the schools, therefore, individual candidates may collect the bece certificate. Certificates are produced once, hence lost or damaged after collection are not replaced.

Conclusion

Last year a total 68056 number of male students appeared in the JC examination whereas 76.10% passed the exam and a total 21377  number of male students is failed which is 23.90%. Similarly, a total of 68425 female students appeared in the JC examination whereas 76.96% passed the exam and a total 20482  number of female students is failed which is 23.04%. It clearly shows the performance of girls is better than boys performance.

• A Certificate of Primary Education is awarded to candidates who pass the examination. 4 For school candidates, result slips, certificates, and statements of attainment are sent to the Heads of institutions concerned. For private candidates, result slips, certificates, and statements of attainment are sent to them by post.

HSC Results Mauritius:

When students reach Form IV, they have to choose at least six major subjects for their Cambridge School Certificate (SC) which is the GCE ‘O’ Level examinations. This examination is carried out in Form V. This is followed by a two-year upper secondary education (Lower VI and Upper VI) ending with the Cambridge Higher School Certificate (HSC) that is the GCE ‘A’ Level.

• Last year Higher School Certificate Results was announced on February, 2020. Its excepted that this also announced in the month of February 1st week 2020.

HSC/GCE ‘A’ LEVEL OCT/NOV Results

• Candidates who have sat for the above examination in October/November 2020 will be able to accede to their results online on First week February 2020 as from 13 30 hours (Mauritius Time).

• School Candidates: School candidates must contact the Rectors of their respective schools to get the login credentials. Candidates should view their results online.

• Private Candidates: The credentials (login and password) for private candidates have been sent
  through the post. In the eventuality that candidates would not have received their credentials by February 2020, they are kindly requested to collect same at the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate on the same day and bring them Identity Card/Passport and their Index Number.

MES HSC Results

• A login (Username) together with a Password has been handed out to the students already and students will be able to view their results on the website of Cambridge. Students not having an Internet connection at home can view their results from their respective colleges as from today afternoon.

• The pass rate for this year is 75.46% which is higher than that of last year’s. 11 252 candidates (10 970 from Mauritius and 282 from Rodrigues) participated for the HSC exams last year.

• The success rate was at 75.31% last year. We will update this post with laureates list in the coming hours.
