    This is an examination written at the end of Senior Secondary. It is based on IGCSE model and it is accredited by Cambridge International Examinations. The student must sit for at least six subjects to be eligible for full certification Compulsory subjects.

    The Examinations Council of Swaziland (ECOS) is a semi-Government organization with the mandate to administer examinations and issue certificates to primary, junior secondary and senior secondary school graduates in Swaziland. The Examinations Council was established through the Education Act No. 9 of 1981.

    Examinations Council of Swaziland:

    Education in Swaziland begins with preschool education for infants, primarysecondary and high school education for general education and training (GET) – and universities and colleges at the tertiary level. The ECOS conducted the following exam and also publish their results and exam timetable. ECOS also offers students to download past exam papers for various exams.

    Swaziland Primary Certificate (SPC):

    • Primary education in Swaziland begins at the age of six. It is a seven-year program that culminates with an end of Primary school Certificate [SPC] in grade 7 which is a locally based assessment administered by the Examinations Council through schools. Primary Education is from grade 1 to grade 7. The provision of primary education is in line with the following Ministry’s mission and vision. SPC is also known as Form 5 i.e. standard V.

    • The Examination Council of Swaziland (ECOS) administers the Junior Certificate (JC) examination also known as form 3. There is an external public examination (Junior Certificate) at the end of the junior secondary that learners have to pass in order to progress to the senior secondary level.

    Swaziland General Certificate of Education (SGCSE):

    • The final school exam is the Swaziland General Certificate of Education (SGCSE) or the International General Certificate of Education (IGCSE). A few schools offer the AS and A-levels or the International Baccalaureate.
    • At the end of the senior secondary level, learners sit for a public examination, the Swaziland General Certificate of Secondary Education (SGCSE) and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) which is accredited by the Cambridge International Examination (CIE). A few schools offer the Advanced Studies (AS) program in their curriculum.

    CPE Results

    • Candidates who appeared in the CPE examinations in October 2020 as a “Private Candidate”, that their “RESULT SLIP” will be delivered to the MES in the month of December.  In the last year 2016, it was done on 5th December 2016.
    • A Certificate of Primary Education is awarded to candidates who pass the examination. 4 For school candidates, result slips, certificates, and statements of attainment are sent to the Heads of institutions concerned. For private candidates, result slips, certificates, and statements of attainment are sent to them by post.

    The directorate of National Examinations and Assessment (DNEA), Namibia and the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture (MoEAC) conducted national exams and also published their results. DNEA Exam Results are generally released in the month of December and January.

    DNEA Exam Results 2023-2024

    The Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture, Directorate of National Examinations and Assessment hereby announces the results release date of Grade 10 (JSC) and Grade 12 Higher level (NSSCH) on 21st December (Tentative). Both websites and SMS services will become active at 00:15 minutes after midnight.

    The following procedure should be followed when using the SMS services to obtain the results. E.g. NSSCH followed by surname and first name/examination number of the candidate.

    Form Two Results Grades:-

    The quantification for grade ranges at FTNA results shall be as follows:-

    • (a) 75 – 100 = A – indicating excellent
    • (b) 60 – 74 = B+ – indicating very good
    • (c) 50 – 59 = B – indicating food
    • (d) 40 – 49 = C – indicating average
    • (e) 30 – 39 = D – indicating satisfactory
    • (f) 20 – 29 = E – indicating unsatisfactory
    • (g) 0 – 19 = F – indicating fail

    The weight for each grade shall be A= 5, B+ = 4, B=3, C = 2, D = 1, E = 0.5 and F = 0

    The examinations Council of Eswatini is also known as the Examinations Council of Swaziland (ECOS). The ECOS is the first quasi-Government organization in the country responsible for administering examinations and issuing certificates.

    The Examinations Council was established through the Education Act No. 9 of 1981. Since then they have provided quality education from Primary education to higher-level education.

    However, to maintain high educational standards and an internationally recognized Swaziland General Certificate of Secondary Education (SGCSE) Qualification, ECOS works in close collaboration with the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

    Examinations Council of Eswatini Result

    One of the main functions of ECOE is to conduct national level examinations and published the examination results. Besides, they issue certificates to primary, junior secondary, and senior secondary school graduates.

    Eswatini Primary Certificate Examination (EPC)

    Primary school education begins for children at age seven, at the end of which students take the external primary school certificate exam. Primary education in Eswatini begins at the age of six. After 7 years of schooling i.e. at the end of class 7th, the Primary School Examination (SPC) is conducted by the ECOE.

    Time Table

    In general, the Eswatini Primary Certificate Examination is held in October, last year the written examination was started on 10th October and finished on 14th October. Besides the practical examination was concluded by the 30th of October.

    Junior Certificate (JC)

    Primary school is followed by junior secondary school which is three years. The secondary and high school education system in Eswatini is a five-year program divided into three years of junior secondary and two years of senior secondary.

    There is an external public examination (Junior Certificate) at the end of the junior secondary years which students must pass to progress to the senior secondary level. The Examination Council of Swaziland (ECOS) administers this examination.

    This is an examination that is taken at the end of Junior Secondary. The subjects are grouped as follows and candidates must take at least seven subjects, four from Group1, two from Group 2 and one from Group 3 or one from Group 1, and two from Group 3. There are two types of candidates, private candidates, and school candidates.

    • School Candidates are full-time learners and are doing a minimum of 6 subjects. Their registration is done in 2 ways: firstly they submit a softcopy of registration lists which ends on February. Secondly, they complete the financial registration (pay for the candidates registered for examinations) towards the end of May.
    • Private Candidates are learners who are studying as individuals without attending any formal schools. They study six subjects or more or less. They can register to the nearest schools or go directly to the Examinations Council of Lesotho. Their registration ends towards the end of May.

    JC Results: Performance

    The Ministry of Education and Training wishes to present the Junior Certificate (JC) Examination Lesotho results.

    • 288 (1.4%) obtained a First Class with Merit. The number is lower in comparison with what was observed in 2015 by 0.5%.
    • 1388 (6.5%) obtained a 1st Class pass. This shows an increase of 0.1% in comparison with the 2015 results.
    • 10641 (49.9%) obtained a 2nd Class pass. This reflects a 1.8% increase as compared to 2015.
    • 2377 (11.2%) obtained a 3rd Class pass. This number has decreased by 0.8% from the 2015 results.
    • 6620 (31.1%) could not meet the minimum requirements for a pass. Here we see a slight decrease of 0.4%.

    The Hon. Minister of Education and Training has announced that the 2020 Junior Certificate will be released this afternoon, January 2020 at 1400hrs. Results will be available from examination centres across the country. The pictures attached show the following:

    Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) will be announced the MSCE Results, JCE Result 2020 Maneb PSLCE Result. The results likely to be announced in the month of September and October, namely JCE and MSCE respectively.

    MANEB Results:

    The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) was founded in April 1987 to conduct valid and reliable examinations for certification, selection and placement purposes and provide professional advice relating to assessment and examinations.

    Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE)

    • Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) Examination is written by learners who are completing their final grade at primary school. This examination is also used by the Ministry of Education to select learners to all public secondary schools.
    • PSLCE MANEB Results

    Junior Certificate of Education (JCE)

    • This examination is the first secondary school examination. It is written by learners after completing junior secondary level which covers two academic years. Learners who pass the JCE Exam.

    Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)

    • The examination is the final examination at the secondary school level in Malawi. Learners who pass this examination qualify for selection into public and private colleges and universities or get absorbed into the job market.
