    Tiber Construction bursaries will provide coverage for the following expenses: tuition fees, examination fees, prescribed books, residence and a monthly stipend.

    Shortlisted candidates will be contacted an invited to attend an interview. If you do not hear back from Tiber Construction, please regard your application as unsuccessful.

    Once students have graduated, they will be required to join Tiber Construction. Practical work will be offered to students based on the companies current opportunities.

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

    Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

    • South African citizen
    • In possession of a valid South African ID Document
    • Completed Matric
    • In possession of a National Senior Certificate
    • Studying full time towards a qualification in one of the aforementioned construction-related fields of study
    • Successfully completed your first or second year of study
    • Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% for your current studies

    Weir Minerals Africa will be awarding bursaries for studies within the following fields:

    Bursaries are awarded for 1 academic year at a time and are renewable each year based on satisfactory academic performance.

    The Master Builders and Allied Trades’ Association, Western Cape (known as “the MBA”) was was founded in 1891 and is affiliated to the Master Builders South Africa (M.B.S.A.). It is the oldest organisation of its kind within the country.

    Its membership is made up of around 400 companies within the Western Cape – most of which are building products, building subcontractors, builders, building merchants or manufacturers. The Association is responsible for ensuring that its members maintain a good reputation and continued investment in building works.

    ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE

    The MBA Development Trust are awarding bursaries to students within the Built Environment (Civil and Building) sector. Bursaries are awarded for 1 academic year and are renewable based on satisfactory academic performance.

    Magalies Water was established in 1969 as “Vaalkop Water Board”, with the main goal of supplying water to platinum mines within the Thabazimbi and Rustenburg areas. Today they provide quality bulk water and secondary services to mines, municipalities and other industries across Gauteng, Limpopo and the North West.

    Magalies Water treats water which has flown into the Department of Water and Sanitation’s dams. The water is purchased from the DWS and then channelled to Magalies Water’s 8 water treatment plants – once treated, the water is distributed to municipalities, industries and mines.

    The South African Table Grape Industry (SATI), founded in 2004, is the association for the table grape industry and only representative of producers and producer-exporters. SATI aims to maintaining South Africa’s position as the top choice for global retailers.

    ABOUT THE SATI BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE

    SATI are inviting students to apply for bursary funding for the 2022 academic year.

    Bursaries will be awarded for Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies (for Tertiary Education (TE) and Further Education and Training (FET)), in fields of study which are relevant to the table grape industry, including but not limited to the following fields:

    • Agricultural Economy
    • Entomology
    • Horticultural Science
    • Plant Pathology
    • Soil Science
    • Viticulture

     

    The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, study materials, accommodation, food and living expenses (capped at R2,400 per month), as well as any other expenses which students can motivate. The bursary will either cover a portion of these fees, or will cover all fees – this will be determined on a case by case basis.

    MORE ABOUT THE SATI BURSARY PROGRAMME – RENEWABILITY, SERVICE CONTRACT & SELECTION

    Bursaries are awarded for 1 year at a time and students must reapply for funding each year, which will be granted based on satisfactory academic performance.

    Bursary recipients will be required to work for SATI (or an entity related to the SA Table Grape Industry), for a duration equivalent to the funding received.

    Shortlisted candidates will be contacted – should you not receive any feedback by 31 January 2022, please regard your application as unsuccessful.

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SATI BURSARY

    Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

    • You must be a South African citizen
    • Further Education and Training (FET) bursary: you must have completed grade 8 or equivalent under the South African Qualification Authority
    • Tertiary Education (TE) bursary: you must have completed Matric or equivalent under the South African Qualification Authority
    • You must be a Black student (especially land reform beneficiaries and their children)
    • You must be interested in pursuing a career within the table grape industry (or supporting industries)
    • You must studying within a field of study relevant to the table grape industry (including but not limited to the aforementioned fields)
    • You must studying towards an Undergraduate or Postgraduate qualification
    • You must studying part-time or full-time studies
    • You must have a strong academic record
    • Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged students and those in financial need

    The bursary will provide coverage for the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed books and an allowance for accommodation. Bursary recipients will also be able to take part in vacation work during school holidays, to gain hands on working experience.

    Once students have graduated, they will be required to work for Kuehne + Nagel – the work back period will be equal to the duration of funding received.

    Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited to attend an interview (between March and April 2024), there will then be a final round interview or case study presentation (in April 2025) and thereafter final bursary announcements will be made (in April to May 2025).
