    ABOUT THE SIEMENS BURSARY PROGRAMME – COVERAGE VALUE, SERVICE CONTRACT & SELECTION

    The following expenses will be covered by the bursary programme: registration fees, tuition, exam fees, prescribed books, accommodation in residence and meals.

    After graduation, bursary recipients will be required to work for Siemens, for the equal duration of funding received.

    All applications received will be reviewed – student who satisfy the bursary requirement criteria will be contacted by Siemens for a virtual video interview. Students who pass the interview process will then be awarded a bursary. Please note that if you have not been contacted, your application was not successful.

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SIEMENS BURSARY

    Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

    • You must be a South African citizen
    • You must be between 18 and 25 years old
    • You must be unemployed
    • You must have completed Matric
    • You must be studying or have been accepted to study full-time within one of the aforementioned fields of study
    • You must be studying or have been accepted to study at a recognised tertiary institution within South Africa
    • You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% for the current year of study (Matric or tertiary studies)
    • You must NOT be in receipt of any other funding (NSFAS/ bursary/ scholarship etc)
    • You must meet the registration requirements of your tertiary institution
    • Preference will be given to students from disadvantaged backgrounds

    Scholarship recipients will be selected based on academic merit and financial need (in line with SANRAL’s Bursary Policy’s), as well as other applicable conditions.

    MORE ABOUT THE SANRAL HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME – COVERAGE VALUE & SELECTION

    The value of the scholarship awarded will depend on the Means Test – all applications will undergo a Means Test, which is a calculation used to determine the amount of financial assistance SANRAL will provide. The applicants family may need to contribute to any outstanding fees, depending on the results of the Means Test.

    The scholarship may provide cover for the following expenses: registration fees, school fees, stationery, books, school and sport uniform, hostel fees and transport. School fees will be paid directly to the school (per the school fees statements), while school and sport uniforms, stationery and books expenses will be refunded to parents (after submitting original proof of payment and a claim form).

    Scholarship holders will also receive:
    Learner Support to help prepare for studying and academic success.
    Holistic support, including career information and guidance in a desired career path.
    Psychological counselling, career coaching, extra classes and exam preparation dependent on a needs assessment.

    ABOUT THE COMPANY – NYDA

    We are pleased to inform you about  NYDA Solomon Mahlangu Scholarship Fund South Africa 2025-2026 /read full details.

    Solomon Mahlangu was executed under the apartheid laws at the age of 23, after he was wrongfully accused of terrorism and murder. The scholarship fund was created in memory of this young man.

    The scholarship fund was created with the aim of helping full time students pursue their studies, that are within the critical and scarce skills areas listed below.

    ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE

    The Solomon Kalushi Mahlangu Postgraduate Scholarship Fund will provide cover for the following fields of study:

    • 1 year postgraduate qualification (excluding postgraduate diplomas)
    • 1 year TVET qualification in creative arts

    The scholarship will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, meals, accommodation, prescribed books and equipment (up until a threshold).

    ABOUT THE SATI BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE

    SATI are inviting students to apply for bursary funding for the 2022 academic year.

    Bursaries will be awarded for Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies (for Tertiary Education (TE) and Further Education and Training (FET)), in fields of study which are relevant to the table grape industry, including but not limited to the following fields:

    • Agricultural Economy
    • Entomology
    • Horticultural Science
    • Plant Pathology
    • Soil Science
    • Viticulture

     

    The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, study materials, accommodation, food and living expenses (capped at R2,400 per month), as well as any other expenses which students can motivate. The bursary will either cover a portion of these fees, or will cover all fees – this will be determined on a case by case basis.

    Bursaries are awarded for 1 year at a time and students must reapply for funding each year, which will be granted based on satisfactory academic performance.
