Philippines Scout Ranger Program 2025-2026 I Application & Requirements

We are pleased to Inform you about Philippines Scout Ranger Program 2025-2026 I Application & Requirements

What is the Resource Stewardship Scout Ranger Program

The Resource Stewardship Scout Ranger program is a partnership between the National Park Service and the Boy Scouts of America. The program invites Scouts and Cub Scouts to participate in educational and/or volunteer service projects at national park sites. These activities spark their awareness of the national parks and provide Scouts with the opportunity to explore their national parks and learn more about protecting our natural and cultural resources. Scouts are awarded certificates and/or patches after meeting certain requirements of the program. Please read on to learn more.

How Can You Earn a Certificate and/or Patch?

Scouts and Cub Scouts (boys, girls, and young adults) can participate in the Resource Stewardship Scout Ranger Program through a troop, event, travel, or camp experience, and will be awarded a program certificate and/or patch upon completion.

To earn a Scout Ranger certificate, Scouts should participate in organized education activities and/or volunteer service projects for a minimum of five (5) hours at one or more national parks.

To earn a Scout Ranger patch, Scouts should participate in organized educational activities or volunteer service projects for a minimum of ten (10) hours at one or more national parks. Examples of qualifying organized educational programs include the following:

    • Ranger-guided interpretive tours
    • Junior Ranger programs
    • Environmental education programs
    • Any other official NPS education program (campfire program, ranger-led hike, etc.)

Please complete this activity tracking sheet and mail it to the last park where you completed your hours, or email the document and provide your mailing address to us at npsyouth@nps.gov if you are having trouble receiving your certificate and/or patch, and we can help you.

    Are you an Eagle Scout?

Learn how you can download the Eagle Scout Award Certificate of Recognition here. Plese note use of the certificate is based on the honor system, as the certificate should only be downloaded after advancing to Eagle Scout rank.

The Scout Ranger Program is not part of the qualifications for the Boy Scout Eagle award or for the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver, or Gold awards. However, as many high-achieving Scouts can affirm, experiences gained in the Scout Ranger Program enhance progress toward these lofty goals.

We are pleased to inform you about Philippine Passport Renewal 2025-2026 | Form, Fees & Requirements

Philippine passport renewal is easier and faster compared to when you are getting a new one. But before renewing your passport make sure that you are holding an e-passport.

    What is an e-passport?

    Sample of e-passport with microchip

An e-passport is a new passport that has a microchip on the cover. Usually, you can find it at the bottom in front. That chip is where your biometrics data are kept. See the photo for a sample of the e-passport.

Remember that if your passport is the old Brown Passport, Green Passport, Machine Readable Passports (Maroon), or any older Passport, you will not be allowed to renew, instead, you need to get a new passport. Check out how to get a new passport here.

    Philippine Passport Renewal Requirements

These are the requirements for Philippine passport renewal:

    1. Confirmed Online Appointment

Same with the application for a new passport, renewal also required you to schedule an appointment (click here). But if you are among these categories, you won’t need an appointment for applying for a passport.

    2. Accomplished Application Form

The application form can be printed online if you set an appointment. But if you are exempted from the online appointment, you can download it here.

    3. Current e-Passport with a photocopy of the data page

Don’t forget to bring a copy of the e-passport with you. Make sure that your passport is an e-passport as described above.

Color blindness is not a form of blindness at all, but a deficiency in the way you see color.

If you are colorblind, you have difficulty distinguishing certain colors, such as blue and yellow or red and green.

Color blindness (or, more accurately, color vision deficiency) is an inherited condition that affects males more frequently than females. According to research, an estimated 8 percent of males and less than 1 percent of females have color vision problems.

Red-green color deficiency is the most common form of color blindness. Much more rarely, a person may inherit a trait that reduces the ability to see blue and yellow hues. This blue-yellow color deficiency usually affects men and women equally. (Source: https://bit.ly/2rAOTST)

    Blood Pressure (BP) Screening

If your blood pressure is high at one reading, that doesn’t mean you have high blood pressure. Blood pressure can vary depending on your activity level and time of day, and can be higher if you are sick or in pain.

Blood pressure is measured using a device called a sphygmomanometer. Usually you are seated with your arm resting on a table. A cuff is placed around your upper arm and inflated until it stops the blood flow. Then the cuff is slowly deflated, allowing blood to flow again. As the cuff deflates, a stethoscope is used to listen to the blood flow in an artery at your inner elbow

The first thumping sound heard reflects the blood pressure as the heart contracts (systolic pressure). When the thumping sound disappears, this is the lowest amount of pressure (diastolic) between heartbeats. Some use automated machines which take blood pressures. (Source: https://k-p.li/2JZmzmB)

    Preparing for your screening

To prepare for a blood-pressure screening, follow these guidelines:

    – Don’t smoke or have caffeine for 30 minutes before the test.

    – Rest for at least 5 minutes before the test.

    – Sit in a chair with your back and feet supported, and your arm supported at heart level.
