Mzansi Wethu, the renowned DStv channel 163 for DStv Access and DStv Family subscribers, is set to intrigue viewers with its first-ever original telenovela, Sibongile & The Dlaminis.

The exciting Cinderella story features Luyanda Zwane, Vuyo Biyela, Slindile Nodangala, Bhekani Shabalala, and Siyabonga Shibe.

Produced by Rhythm World Productions, the same team behind the successful shows Komkhulu and Umkhokha: The Curse, the telenovela is poised to make waves in the television landscape. Mark your calendars for the premiere on Monday, 31 July, at 18:30.

Sibongile & The Dlaminis follows the extraordinary journey of Sibongile Mbambo, portrayed by the talented Luyanda Zwane, an innocent rural young woman forced to leave her family and dreams behind to become a domestic worker in the lavish mansion of the affluent Dlamini family. Little does she know that destiny has an unexpected Cinderella story in store for her – in the form of a forbidden romance. The burgeoning relationship transforms Sibongile’s life and impacts those around her, including her employers and their enormous business empire.

The ‘Kalawa Jazmee Story’ to land on Mzansi Magic

Set in the small town of Ixopo in KwaZulu-Natal, Sibongile & The Dlaminis promises to explore timeless themes of love, sacrifice, ambition, and familial bonds. The show, which can be described as hopeful, warm, authentic, and a real-world fairy tale, delivers superb entertainment.

The 24-year-old has had a fantastic 2024/25 season in Bucs colours has earned him a Bafana Bafana call-up. Last year it was reported that French Ligue 1 side Montpellier were monitoring the Cape Town-born defender.

This week, Soccer Laduma revealed that another European team were interested in the services of the Orlando Pirates star.

“It’s still in the early stages. We cannot be talking about which team from Holland is interested in Sesane. But what I can assure you that there is a team in the top Dutch league that has enquired about him. Yes, it was after the French team and they also have been following his progress at club (Pirates) level and are happy with what they have seen so far,” a source told the publication.

Orlando Pirates defender wanted in Europe but will he leave?

With Orlando Pirates still part of the CAF Champions League, Sesane’s value will increase by the end of the season. The Buccaneers are currently competing for the Betway Premiership, CAF CL and the Nedbank Cup.

Sesane has been at the heart of the Bucs defence following the injury of Tapelo Xoki. His performance this season has caught the eye of a few European team but will Orlando Pirates want to sell?

So far, a club from the Netherlands is reportedly keen to bring in Sesane but with Montpellier still in the picture, the French club might be an attractive option.
