    Announcement on the Conduct of Civil Service Exam

    Here is the recent Facebook post of CSC entitled “Public Service Announcement on the Conduct of Civil Service Examinations”.

    The CSC is carefully studying all possibilities regarding the conduct of examinations for 2021 and beyond, with utmost consideration for the public’s health and safety. With this, the announcement regarding the CSE–Professional and Subprofessional levels to be administered this year would be made once CSC has firmed up the different modes of the conduct of examination and the appropriate schedules thereof.

    The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has inaugurated the Coast Guard BoatHouse located at Barangay Taft, Surigao City on 18 September 2021.

    The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has inaugurated the Coast Guard BoatHouse located at Barangay Taft, Surigao City on 18 September 2021.

    Philippine Coast Guard is a uniformed service tasked primarily to perform maritime enforcement, search and rescue, and maritime safety and security. If you want to join the PCG either as a PCG Officer or PCG non-Officer, read the qualifications below.

    Philippine Coast Guard Qualifications (Commisionship/Officer)

    • A natural-born citizen of the Philippines with good moral character.
    • 21-24 years old on the date of examination.
    • Single
    • Minimum height of 5’0″ for male and female.
    • Baccalaureate degree holder
    • with Professional Civil Service Eligibility with a rating of 82% and above or with PRC license,
    • Physically and Mentally qualified.
    • Has passed the PCG Aptitude Battery Test for Commisionship.

    Philippine Coast Guard Qualifications (Enlistment/ Non-Officer)

    • Natural Born Filipino Citizen with good moral character.
    • 18-26 years old on the day of Examination.
    • Single.
    • Minimum Height of 5’0″.
    • Physically and mentally qualified under the existing regulation of the Coast Guard Service.
    • College Graduate or has earned at least 72 units in only one course as reflected in the Transcript of Records or
    • Senior High School Graduate provided that he/she has completed the TESDA courses (6 months or longer) relevant to PCG mandates as endorsed by the respective SECOMCAP.
    • Has passed the PCG Aptitude Battery Test.

    Philippine Coast Guard Requirements

    The following are the PCG requirements applicants need to prepare:

    • Accomplished PCGABT application Form. You can download it here.
    • Personal Information Sheet (download here).
    • Photocopy of Transcript of Records (Authenticated by the School).
    • Photocopy of College Diploma for commisionship or enlistment/ Senior Highschool Diploma or TESDA certificate for enlistment.
    • PSA Birth Certificate.

    Take the original copies of the requirements mentioned above to be presented upon submission of application on the purpose of verification. Make sure you have the complete requirements to avoid disqualification.

    Application Process for PCG

    1. Meet the qualifications. Check if you are qualified for the position you are applying to (Officer or non-officer). This will save you both the hassle and time.
    2. Submit the initial requirements. Submit the requirements mentioned above to the nearest PCG district to schedule your PCGABT.
    3. Take the PCG Aptitude Battery Test. On the day of the PCGABT, applicants should wear a white shirt, maong pants, white socks, and rubber shoes. Moreover, applicants are expected to have proper hair cut and clean nails.
    4. Take the Physical Fitness Test. After passing the exam, applicants shall proceed to their respective PCG district to take the PFT.
    5. Medical, Dental, and Neurological Exam. Applicants shall shoulder the expense of their medical exam. However, for the dental and Neurological, the PCG medical team will conduct it.
    6. Undergo Final deliberation. Applicants who passed all the phases above will need to undergo final deliberation. The PCG Recruitment board members will determine who among the applicants are qualified to take the Coast Guard Officer’s Course (CGOC) or Coast Guardman’s Course (CGMC) training.
    7. Oathtaking Ceremonies. Successful applicants will be informed about the details of the oathtaking ceremony.

    Philippine Navy Exam 2025 schedule

    The Philippine Navy will conduct Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) to those who are willing to apply for NAVAL OFFICER CANDIDATE COURSE (NOCC) on:

    • January 17, 2020, at NSFA, Covert Court, Panacan, Davao City.

    • Height at least 5 feet.

    Basic Seaman Course

    The PRC is conducting the Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE) twice a year. If you plan to take the CLE, you can check the Criminology Board Exam Schedule 2025-2026 and any other important information below.

    Criminology Board Exam Schedule 2025-2026

    After the postponement of the criminology board exam this december 2020, the new schedule is set for June 13, 14 & 15, 2025-2026-2024. The start of the online application is on January 13, 2025-2026-2024, and the deadline for filing is on April 13, 2025-2026-2024.

    On the other hand, for the second batch of criminology board exam, it will be on December 12, 13, & 14, 2025-2026-2024. The filing of application will start on July 13, 2025-2026-2024, and ends October 13, 2025-2026-2024.

    The PMMA opens online applications for those interested to apply for the entrance exam. They won’t be accepting mailed or walk-in applications as well as prohibits multiple submissions of applications.

    What is PMMA?

    PMMA stands for Philippine Merchant Marine Academy. It is the only premier state maritime institution in the Philippines. PMMA offers merchant marine-related degree courses, as well as short-term training and re-training of marine officers and rating seamen.

    PMMA midshipmen are government scholars, who are provided free tuition fees, board and lodging, and have an assured shipboard training onboard international vessels during their third year with the corresponding stipend. Upon graduation, PMMA midshipmen are assured of a 100% employment rate and are the usual choice and preference of major global shipping and manning companies for assignment to International Ocean going vessels as deck officers and engineers.

    PMMA midshipmen are selected from all over the Philippines through a rigid selection process. Out of average examinees of 6,400 about 5% successfully pass the different stages of the screening process and subsequently take their oath as full-fledged PMMA midshipmen.

    QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

    BASIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Male or female, physically fit, natural born Filipino citizen;
    • Single and never been married and has no children out of wedlock;
    • Free from being accused or convicted of any crime against the law and the state;
    • At least 17 years old and not more than 23 years old upon enrollment on August 01;
    • Grade 12 student; College Level
    • At least 160 centimeters (5 ft. & 3 in.) for male and 155 centimeters (5 ft. & 1 in.) for female;
    • BMI of less than 25;
    • At least of good academic performance;
    • Has not been enrolled in PMMA.

    GROUNDS FOR MEDICAL DISQUALIFICATION

    FOR MALE APPLICANTS:

    For Male applicants, the following are ground for disqualification:

    1. Undescended testicles
    2. Absence of one or both testicles
    3. Suspicious enlargement of testis or epididymis
    4. Varicocele
    5. Uncircumcised (must be circumcised before the medical exam)
    6. Height less than 5ft & 3 inches

    While for Female applicants are the following:

    14. Deafness/perforated eardrum

    18. Hypertension, abnormal ECG tracings (e.g. AV blocks, bundle branch blocks, ischemia, infarctions, arrhythmia tachycardia, bradycardia, etc.), heart abnormalities and diseases.
    19. Active PTB, massive pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary infarctions, pneumonitis, bronchopneumonia, atelectasis and other lung diseases.

    We are pleased to inform you about Civil Service Exam (CSE-PPT) Schedule 2025-2026
    The Civil Service Commission (CSC) recently announced the Calendar of National Civil Service Written Examinations for 2022. This includes the conduct of the CAREER SERVICE EXAMINATION – PEN AND PAPER TEST (CSE-PPT) for Professional and Subprofessional Levels also known as Civil Service Exam.

    Examination Schedule

    Here is the detailed schedule for 2022 Civil Service Exam (CSE-PPT), courtesy of CSC.

    The first batch of Civil Service Exam will be conducted on March 13, 2022.  Application period will run from January 12, 2022 and will end on January 27, 2022, while the second batch of exam will be conducted on June 19, 2022. The application period will start from April 12, 2022 and will end on April 28, 2022.Please note that acceptance of applications shall be on a “FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED” basis and shall be closed any time before the deadline if the CSC Regional/Field Office has already reached the maximum number of applicants.

    Objective

    To establish a Register of Eligibles (RoE) from which certification and appointment to first and second level positions in the civil service, except those involving practice of profession and/or are covered by special laws, shall be made, provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements of the positions. The RoE may also be a reference for employment in the private sector.

    Testing Centers

    Applicants must communicate/coordinate with the CSC Regional Office (CSC RO), or with any of the CSC RO’s Field Offices, where they intend to take the examination regarding the Testing Centers. A complete directory of CSC Regional and Field Offices nationwide is available at the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph for reference.

    Qualifications / Admission Requirements

    The CSE is open to individuals who meet the following qualification requirements:

    • Filipino citizen;
    • At least 18 years old on the date of filing of application;
    • Of good moral character;
    • Has not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, or disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or addiction to drugs;
    • Has not been dishonorably discharged from military service, or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government; and
    • Has not taken the same level of Career Service Examination, either through PPT or CSC Computerized Examination (CSC COMEX), within three months before the date of examination:

    Application Requirements

    Prepare and submit the following requirements:

     

    1. Fully accomplished Application Form (appropriate CS Form No. 100).

    2. Four (4) pieces of identical I.D. pictures with specifications, as follows:

    a. Passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm or 1.8 inches x 1.4 inches)

    b. Colored, with white background

    c. Taken within three (3) months prior to filing of application

    d. Printed on good quality photo paper

    e. In standard close-up shot (from shoulder level up with the head and face occupying at least 80% of the picture and with the name tag positioned at approximately 1 inch or 2.54 cm below the chin)

    f. In bare face (with no eyeglasses, colored contact lens, or any accessories that may cover the facial features; facial features not computer enhanced)

    g. Showing left and right ears

    h. Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera

    i. With neutral facial expression, and both eyes open

    j. With HANDWRITTEN (not computer-generated) name tag legibly showing SIGNATURE OVER PRINTED FULL NAME in the format: First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, and Extension Name, if any

    3. Original and photocopy of any of the following I.D. cards, which is preferably valid (not expired on date of filing of application):

       a. Driver’s License/Temporary Driver’s License (LTO O.R. must be presented together with old Driver’s License; O.R. alone is not allowed)/Student Driver’s Permit;

    b. Passport;

    Where to Get Application Form and How to File Application

    The application form (appropriate CS Form No. 100) is available at any CSC Regional/Field Office, or maybe downloaded from the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph. The application form maybe printed/reproduced using legal size bond paper.

    Applicants must communicate/coordinate with the CSC Regional Office, or with any of the CSC RO’s Field Offices, where they intend to take the examination regarding the mode of filing application and the corresponding procedures. A complete directory of CSC Regional and Field Offices nationwide is available at the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph for reference.

    Examination Venue

    As applicable, examinees shall be informed of their places of examination (school assignment) through the Online Notice of School Assignment (ONSA).
    ONSA shall be available via the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph approximately two weeks before examination day. Examinees may opt to have a print-out of their Notice of School Assignment using ONSA for their personal reference, but, this is not mandatory and is not a requirement.

    About the CSE

    The civil service eligibility resulting from passing the CSE (Professional) shall be called Career Service Professional Eligibility. It is a second level eligibility appropriate for both first level (clerical) and second level (technical) positions in the government that do not involve practice of profession and are not covered by special/other laws.

    Philippine Coast Guard Qualifications (Commisionship/Officer)

    • A natural-born citizen of the Philippines with good moral character.
    • 21-24 years old on the date of examination.
    • Single
    • Minimum height of 5’0″ for male and female.
    • Baccalaureate degree holder
    • with Professional Civil Service Eligibility with a rating of 82% and above or with PRC license,

    • Photocopy of Transcript of Records (Authenticated by the School).
    • Photocopy of College Diploma for commisionship or enlistment/ Senior Highschool Diploma or TESDA certificate for enlistment.

    Take the original copies of the requirements mentioned above to be presented upon submission of application on the purpose of verification. Make sure you have the complete requirements to avoid disqualification.

    Application Process for PCG

    1. Meet the qualifications. Check if you are qualified for the position you are applying to (Officer or non-officer). This will save you both the hassle and time.
    2. Submit the initial requirements. Submit the requirements mentioned above to the nearest PCG district to schedule your PCGABT.
    3. Take the PCG Aptitude Battery Test. On the day of the PCGABT, applicants should wear a white shirt, maong pants, white socks, and rubber shoes. Moreover, applicants are expected to have proper hair cut and clean nails.
    4. Take the Physical Fitness Test. After passing the exam, applicants shall proceed to their respective PCG district to take the PFT.
    5. Medical, Dental, and Neurological Exam. Applicants shall shoulder the expense of their medical exam. However, for the dental and Neurological, the PCG medical team will conduct it.
    6. Undergo Final deliberation. Applicants who passed all the phases above will need to undergo final deliberation. The PCG Recruitment board members will determine who among the applicants are qualified to take the Coast Guard Officer’s Course (CGOC) or Coast Guardman’s Course (CGMC) training.
    7. Oathtaking Ceremonies. Successful applicants will be informed about the details of the oathtaking ceremony.
