    Omuhle’s career started in the 2000s when she was just a kid when she made her debut appearance in David Kau’s television series Taxi Ride (based on the film of the same name). Then she appeared a presenter on the kid’s programming block Kideo when she was a child. She also had a cameo role in the SABC1 drama series Tshisa.

    The first big role she portrayed in her television career was Busi Motsamai, in SABC2 drama series and soapie opera Muvhango. Busi was Doobsie Mukwevho and James Motsamai’s daughter who spent the better part of a year in Japan. She returned a schemer just like her mother.

    For Jerome Galiao, life was not always easy when he relocated to South Africa about 13 years ago. He struggled to get sustainable roles. He appeared on so many roles and sometimes it was just dry. Things got so tough that he even worked as a waiter in restaurants and a barman. He ended up thinking of giving up, packing his bags and return Kumusha (home). When lockdown strikes things were worse but he kept holding on until now. Now he has landed a role on one of the most watched South African television series and it looks like its promising.

    “Then lockdown happened and there was absolutely no work, but I kept on hanging in there and I am really proud I kept on hanging.”

    “I believe that with consistency and persistence, anyone can achieve anything. It’s all about pushing the right mindset. I see myself being cast in bigger international productions. I see big awards coming home,” he said.

When she was 15 years old her journey from obscurity to stadorm began. The actor, musician and playwright Mbongeni Ngema while scoating for talent visited a garage where her youth group was performing.

    After seeing her potential he inquired whether she could feature in one of his plays. She said “yes!” and Ngema drafted him into his Sarafina cast, one of his musical productions. From there her career and personal life were never the same. Eventually, she became a global sensation and married Ngema. At that point, the two, Ngema and Leleti were meant for each other. Ngema delighted in performance and she was born a dancer and performer. However marital stress led out to a falling of the two and culminated in divorce in 2005.

    Other notable movies she featured in include Hotel Rwanda (2004) a historical drama documenting the Rwanda genocide in 1994. The very same year she started in Yesterday, a film about the struggles of young HIV-positive mothers. Her role in the movie was instrumental, as it received rave reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival and won an award in the Pune International Film Festival.
