Primary education is from grade 1 to grade 7.

    Every Year more than 20 thousand students appeared in the  Primary school Examination in the month of November/December. The Examinations Council of Eswatini is responsible for published the SPC exam results and make them available to the public. However, every year the council publishes the SPC results in the month of January.

    As soon as the result is published, all the students. parents and others can check the result online. However, the Examinations Council of Eswatini does not have an automatic result query system online. Besides that, they published result notification and summary data on their website.

    • Examinations Council of Zambia generally published Grade 9 ECZ Results 2020 Zambia in the month December. ECZ will award certificates to candidates who pass the G9 Junior Secondary School Leaving Examination conducted by the council.

    Grade 9 Certificate:

    • To qualify for the award of the JSSLE Certificate, a candidate must satisfy the minimum requirements of passes in six (6) subjects.
    • The Certificate obtained at this level is a pre-requisite for eligibility to register for examination at Grade 12.
    • In other words, the JSSLE Certificate is a requirement for a candidate to undertake registration for Grade 12 examination.
    • The candidates use the Grade 9 examination number to present themselves for Grade 12 examination.

    • 2011: Around 276,840 pupils who sat for the examinations in 2011 and 124,331 were qualified the exam.
    • 2012 : Around 291,018 candidates sat for the examinations in 2012, only 100,824 candidates have passed.
    • 2014 : A total of 169, 375 candidates that sat for the 2014 Grade 9 Examinations and 114, 104 pupils have only managed to obtain statements of results while a total of 16, 396 pupils failed the exams.

    Last year a total 68056 number of male students appeared in the JC examination whereas 76.10% passed the exam and a total 21377  number of male students is failed which is 23.90%. Similarly, a total of 68425 female students appeared in the JC examination whereas 76.96% passed the exam and a total 20482  number of female students is failed which is 23.04%. It clearly shows the performance of girls is better than boys performance.

    The examinations Council of Eswatini is also known as the Examinations Council of Swaziland (ECOS). The ECOS is the first quasi-Government organization in the country responsible for administering examinations and issuing certificates.

    The Examinations Council was established through the Education Act No. 9 of 1981. Since then they have provided quality education from Primary education to higher-level education.

    Eswatini Primary Certificate Examination (EPC)

    Primary school education begins for children at age seven, at the end of which students take the external primary school certificate exam. Primary education in Eswatini begins at the age of six. After 7 years of schooling i.e. at the end of class 7th, the Primary School Examination (SPC) is conducted by the ECOE.

    Time Table

    In general, the Eswatini Primary Certificate Examination is held in October, last year the written examination was started on 10th October and finished on 14th October. Besides the practical examination was concluded by the 30th of October.

    Junior Certificate (JC)

    Primary school is followed by junior secondary school which is three years. The secondary and high school education system in Eswatini is a five-year program divided into three years of junior secondary and two years of senior secondary.

    There is an external public examination (Junior Certificate) at the end of the junior secondary years which students must pass to progress to the senior secondary level. The Examination Council of Swaziland (ECOS) administers this examination.

    How to check IEB Results 2020 via News 24?

    • Currently, EWN and News24’s matric results sites publicly list the distinctions every pupil achieved, while eNCA’s portal requires that you enter both your surname and exam number to view your results.
    • You can get your results on News24’s Matric Results website: eNCAEWN, or News24. Register now to receive an SMS the moment the results are released. To find your results online, you can visit the portals for registration is required. The results will also publish in all major national newspapers.

    IEB Results Parentage:

    • in 2016 Independent Examinations Board (IEB) pass rate has increased from 98.30% (2015) last year to 98.67% (2016). According to IEB over 11 000 pupils sat for final grade 12 examinations in October and November in 237 venues across the country. In 2014 Pass Rate was: 98.38, in 2013: 98.57 and 2012 it was 98.2.

    IEB Certificates

    • National Senior Certificates will be issued by Umalusi by June/July 2020 and will be distributed by
      the IEB as requested by schools. Certificates and statements of results are issued by Umalusi and are distributed by the IEB as arranged with schools.

    IEB Re-marks/Re-checks

    • The closing date for re-marks and re-checks is Tuesday, January 2020. Please refer to your statement of results for further information. The date of release of results for re-marks/re-checks is February 2020.

    IEB Supplementary examinations

    • The closing date for learners who qualify for the supplementary examinations is February 2020. The results for supplementary exams will be released on March 2020. The closing date for re-marks/re-checks of the supplementary exams is, April 2020 with these results being released on April 2020.

    According to Independent Examinations Board National Senior Certificate 2016 examination, the result analytics has given below.

    The 2016 Independent Examinations Board (IEB) pass rate is 98.67%, comparable to last year’s pass rate of 98.30%. All IEB candidates that passed achieved a pass that is good enough to enter the tertiary study at one of the three levels.

    • 87.61% of the cohort achieved entry to degree study, compared to 85.26% in 2015.
    • 9.83% qualified for entry to diploma study, compared to 11.66% in 2015.
    • 1.23% achieved entry for study at the Higher Certificate level, compared to 1.37% in 2015.

    Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) has released the 22023-2024 Junior Certificate Examinations (JCE) Results.

    To access results through SMS, please do the following:
    1. Send an sms with your: level, center number, candidate number, candidate surname
    2. Include a space between the word “JCE” and your Centre Number; a space between the Centre Number and Candidate Number and also add a space between the Candidate Number and Candidate Surname.
    3. The Center Number must be 6 characters long and the Student Number must be 4 numeric characters long. The surname is not case sensitive.

    For example:
    If your Centre Number is 0002 and your Student Number is 1 type:
    JCE JC0002 0001 Surname
    Send your correctly formatted request to 16688

    To access results through the BEC Website (www.bec.co.bw), please do the following;
    1. Open the BEC website by typing https://www.bec.co.bw in your web browser.
    2. Click on the “Results” tab on the navigator bar.
    3. (The navigator bar is the bar that starts with the “home” tab, and also has the “About BEC” tab, “Qualifications” tab, and other tabs”)
    4. In the “Examination” drop down combo box, select the Examination (in this case select JCE)
    5. In the “Year” textbox type the year (In this case type 2015)
    6. In the “Centre Number” textbox type your school’s Centre Number. The center number should be 6 characters beginning with the letters “JC” and the “JC” must be in capital letters. For example, if your school’s center number is 0002, type JC0002, if your school’s center number is 0010, type JC0010.
    7. In the “Candidate ID” textbox type your Candidate Number. The System accepts a candidate number with leading zeros and without leading zeros. For example, if your candidate number is 0001 you may type 0001 or 001 or 01 or 1 and the system will accept any of them.
    8. In the Surname text box type your Surname. The Surname is not case sensitive.
    9. Click the “Show Results” button. This should display your results indicating the Exam cycle, Year, Centre Number, Subjects and Overall Grade
