    Maxx Moticoe is a South African actor born in Westonaria, Gauteng Province in South Africa. He attended Randfontein High School and matriculated in 2012. During high school Maxx was an introvert who was skinny and participated in school dramas. He was bullied very often. This led him to join bodybuilding for self-defense. After matric, he went on to study at AFDA and obtained a BA in Performing Arts in 2016

    His acting career started in 2017 when he debuted on Generations: The Legacy with a cameo role. Then in 2018 he had a recurring role of Melusi on Rhythm City (a soapie replaced by House of Zwide). This was his breakthrough in television industry. The very same year he had another recurring role of Mothusi Moche on the SABC3 police procedural series The Docket, appearing in all 13 episodes from 22 August, 2018. In October 2018 he wrapped up his year with a recurring role of TJ on 1Magic soapie The River.

    In 2019 he landed yet another major recurring role as Felix in the Mzansi Magic prison drama Lockdown season four, making his first appearance on 6 April, 2019. Then in 2021 he had his first starring role as Ayanda on The Estate which airs on SABC3. The drama revolves around a gated suburban community that begins to feel less secure when a neighboring township launches a land claim against the estate. He was also featured in Nedbank commercial work for the Nedbank ad campaign. ¹

    Battle to convince her father of her acting career choice

    Before coming to House of Zwide, acting was always on her heart but during her matric in 2020, she became indecisive about her career choice. And when she had finally decided to become an actor her father disagreed with her. ” The main thing I wanted to do was act, but my dad was set on me having a backup plan and something to fall back on. He made it clear I shouldn’t study something in the arts,” she said to Sowetan Live.

    After obtaining her matric, 2021 was the year to finalize which career she would study for. So she obeyed her father and enrolled at the University of Johannesburg to study law. Her father was thrilled but she wasn’t. So later on she clashed with her father when she said she want to drop out of varsity to pursue her acting dreams.

    It was difficult for her parents when Nefisa brought such news since she had not yet secured any acting job but was still auditioning. But her father was relieved when she landed the starring role of Onalerona Molapo on House of Zwide and finally losen up.

    “I don’t think he [Mkhabela’s father] expected this role to be this big because when I got it he suddenly started to loosen up and told me how proud of me he was. It was a shock to me, He’s super excited because he knows this has been my dream ever since I was a kid. It fulfills him seeing that I went after what I wanted and I’m now living my dream,” she added. ²

    Kagiso Gwyza Diseko was born in Soweto township, Gauteng Province in South Africa in the 1970s. He grew up in Soweto where he obtained his primary and secondary school education.

    After matric Diseko enrolled at AFDA film school to study acting and arts studies. But his studies at AFDA were interrupted when his music career began in 1998.

    He concurrently took studies with Heart College in the 90s and graduated in 1998. After working in music for many years he returned to study at the AFDA and Vega School of Advertising, doing a diploma in brand communications.

    Kagiso began his professional music and acting career in 1997. He began as a backup rapper for Tkzee but began to blossom as a musician in 1998 and 1999 with the hit records Halloween and TKzee Family Guz 2000. The collaborated songs that he released with TKzee include Senate, Shibobo, Guz, We Love This Place, Fiesco, Zinja Zam and Mr and Mrs. Fake.

    His acting career began in 1998 appearing in a film called Please Help No Food No Job directed by Zak Dakile. After that he debuted on the start studded cast line up of Drum, a movie directed by Zola Maseko and produced by Dumisani Dlamini.

    In 2012 he appeared in a Mzansi Magic-commissioned telefilm. And in 2013 he made his television debut in the Mzansi Magic soap opera Zabalaza in the role of Granite. He played the role of Bobo in Vuka Mawulele season 1 and played Thabo in Ngempela season 2. His other roles include appearing in eKasi: Our Stories season 6 as Largest, playing a Guest star in Generations and playing the role of Kgotso in Lithapo. [ ¹]

    In 2022 he landed a role of playing Japan in the SABC2 soapie opera Muvhango created by Duma Ndlovu and directed by Jedi Mulovhedzi and Sipho Nhlaka Myeni.

    Early age of Angela

    Angela Atlang is a 26 years old Botswana-born actress who was born on 4 November 1995. She was born and raised in Maun Township, North-West district in Botswana. Her mother is Ms Jeanie Atlang. Growing up, Angela did every duty and chores that a village girl would do. This includes herding goats, cooking with firewood, using paraffin and candle lights and bathing in man-made zinc tub.

    She was raised by relatives since her parents were working in Durban South Africa. So, she had all the freedom she wanted to explore most of her interests. She developed an interest for acting when she was 10 years old while in primary.

    Angela’s acting career began while she was still studying for her Theatre arts degree at the University of Botswana, she attended auditions and was cast for other productions in Botswana before coming to Muvhango. This includes Maraledi (Makgabaneng) and as a production assistant under wardrobe, unfortunately, the drama was never aired.

    In 2014 she was part of 48 Hour Film project with Hisgalus Films group which went on to win second position and walked away with the Best Supporting Actress Award. In 2017 she played a leading role in KG’OESAKENI: The Dancer Musical theatre production by Lepatata Arts Ensemble in 2017.

    After graduating and obtaining her degree in 2018, Angela saw a post for Muvhango auditions and she attended and she got herself the role of Itseng Motsamai who is James Motsamai’s (by Dingaan Khumalo) estranged sister, the character Itseng to debuted in 2021. In 2019 she also took part in other stage performances outside varsity such as “Broke, Broken and Alone” theatre production produced and directed by Kabo Timela.

    As a Model, Mrs Atlang appeared on several commercials and music video performances working alongside Botswana artists. She has also worked with companies such as Ebony hair and many others as a model. The star is also into music, she once released a song called Blesser in 2016 but she pulled back since she wants music that inclined to her Christian faith.¹

    Personal life

    Angela Although raised by relatives because her parents were distant away, she never developed a tendency of misbehaving because she is a Christian and she is deeply rooted in Christ (God). Thus she dont drink alcohol (as a matter of choice) nor smoke cigarettes. It’s not known as yet whether she is married or engaged to anyone.
