Nyaniso Ntsikelelo Dzedze was born on September 13, 1986 in Johannesburg, Gauteng Province in South Africa. He was raised in Johannesburg. Growing up in Johannesburg Nyaniso had no idea what he wanted to study for when he finishes high school. But his history teacher encouraged him to join a drama version of Grease in high school. He excelled and from then onward, Nyaniso knew that he wanted to become an actor.

He also appeared in several dance theatre productions including Unknown Equations, Reach Our Soul (directed by Yann Lheureux), Closer Apart (directed by Mlindelwa Mahlangu), and Façade (directed by Baily Snyman). In 2015 he made his television debut when he landed his first television starring role as Tsietsi Namane in Ashes to Ashes. “We have been accommodating of each other’s differences, but one thing she has given me is the openness to want to honor my culture, and one thing I have given her is the same thing. When we have kids, I want them to know German-English culture and language and also know English and Xhosa culture,” Nyaniso said in Instagram Live.

Before she got into acting, Linda Mtoba was an isiZulu teacher to grades 1 and 5 students. She says that teaching gave her the confidence to become a performer. It’s fair to say that Linda didn’t quite envision going into acting but her friends, who found her to be bubbly and lively, encouraged her to audition. Consequently, she landed a role on “Isibaya” television series where she played the role of Zama Ngwenya. In 2018, Linda Mtoba left Isibaya on an emotional note after her on-screen death.

Early life of Fundiswa Zwane

Fundiswa Zwane was born in Port Shepstone in KwaZulu-Natal, in South Africa on the 6th of June 1985. She was raised in Port Shepstone where she developed interest in arts at a tender age. She was a proud member of the gumboot dance ensemble during her high school years, which inspired her to attend film school after graduation

“I knew I wanted to be an actress when I was in high school.” I was in the gumboot dance group, and after one of our performances, the entire school burst out laughing. She played this role until 2012.

In 2011, Fundi also had a starring role as Avumile in the SABC1 drama series Divers Down. She co-created (together with Gugu and Thuli Zuma, South African president Jacob Zuma’s children) the Mzansi Magic sitcom It’s for Life, which ran on the channel from July to October 2011. The story follows three twenty-something women who discover a squatter living in their new home and are compelled to live with her.

Dladla did start in the theatres like most actors. However, his big break was when he got the role of GC on Uzalo. GC is a gay man who was forced to marry a woman by his father. However, after his mother stood up for him, he was able to marry the love of his life Jojo. But, when Jojo leaves him, GC is left heartbroken and starts drinking immensely, leading to the bankruptcy of his saloon and loss of his home. However, later on, his parents reunite with him. When Dladla was asked how much of this related to him, he wasn’t slow to say, the only thing in common with him in this character was the s.e.xual orientation. The rest wasn’t, and that is because he grew up in a very dignified community which wasn’t homophobic and violent so he was shielded from all those stereotypes.

Dladla later got axed from the show only to be returned for a few weeks and axed again. But, that wasn’t the end of it, another door opened and he walked right through. Khaya got a longer stable contract with Bomb productions to play Lazarus in House of Zwide which replaced Etv’s Rhythm City. He was born in KwaZulu Natal Province in South Africa on the 15th of June 1975. Nkanyiso once revealed that he had suffered setbacks as a child because of his enormous weight. Growing up for him was quite challenging because he seldom interacted with his peers; he feared his peers would jest his size.
