Ntshaba has an older sister whom she claims inspired her to further he studies. She studied acting at the University of Natal in Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Early and personal life of Winnie Ntshaba

Winnie Ntshaba grew up in poverty. As a child, she would sometimes use cooking oil for body lotion and even eat pap with orange. These were some of the struggles she would go through in her childhood. However, she worships her mother for always being there for them. She always made sure they ate. Winnie Ntshaba comes from a village of poverty, no one was above the counter in riches in their village, however, Winnie took her life and education seriously.

In fact, she had vowed not to date until she had finished her degree. Ntshaba was inspired by the 2 and only graduates in her village, of whom one was her sister who inspired her to further her education. However, life has no straight route and things got disruptive, she ended falling in love with a photographer named Thabo Modise whom she later married in 2007. They fell inlove while she was doing her third year in varsity. The two later divorced in 2014 and had one child together, this came after 7 whole years of marriege. Winnie lost her mother in November of 2017, this was a wake up call as she said, she got a lot of epiphanies on how life really is unpredictable and why we should live only to nourish our well being and pursue our peace

She said that this showed her that living to impress people at the expense of your happiness wasn’t worth the ride. Winnie later unveiled the tombstone for her mother early this year with some of her colleagues joining her to show support. Her mother was her pillar and her sudden death really shattered her world and gave her a wake up call on how temporary we have it with others here.

Winnie’s views on love and Marriege

Well, as discussed above, Winnie Ntshaba and her husband Thabo Modise separated in 2014 after 7 years of marriage. However, how did this leave Winnie in terms of love and Marriage. Well, the answer will be unorthodox. You would expect her to be in deep dispair and pessimism. However, in an interview done in September 2017, a few months before her mother’s demise, Ntshaba showed great pessimism for marriage. Saying that her parents are still married at her age, she was 41 years of age at the time.

From her parent’s forever story she garnered inspiration and said that the next time she is going to marry it will and must be forever. In her own words she said: “Im wiser, I know better, I know how to handle things”. Winnie and Thabo had been married after 4 years of dating in 2017 and despite their divorce, they are happily co-parenting their 12-year-old son Phenyo.

    Ntshaba’s film career

After doing small acting gigs from 2000 she finally got her big break in 2004. In 2005 she was casted as a supporting actress alongside Leleti Khumalo in the film Yesterday. Later that same year, she was cast as a leading actor in the film Shreds and dreams directed by Claire Stopford. This was after she had gotten very positive reviews from her role in Yesterday. In 2005, the biggest break of her career happened, she auditioned for the role of Khethiwe Buthelezi for the TV series called Generations. She became a very integral part of the show until in 2015 when 16 of the main actors on the show were fired. For supposedly striking illegally for better salaries and contract extensions and royalties from rebroadcasted episodes.

In 2017, 2 years after Generations, Winnie Ntshaba was to appear in Mzansi Magic’s The road. However, that was only the beginning of light at the end of the tunnel. In 2018 she got the lead role of Mam’Ngandi on The Herd on Mzansi Magic. She also plays Mam’lihle on isThembiso. And this year she got a leading role as Faith Zwide on House of Zwide on etv. What a long journey it is. Furthermore, Ntshaba is not only an actress, she is a Voice-over artist, Influence and founder of The Royalty Soapie awards and a motivational speaker.

Mkhwane, was heavily ill in 2021. And was to no longer play the role of Njandini in the new season of “Bopha!” Which was a State Theatre play in which Mkhwane was in. The SA State Theatre said the legendary performer had been booked off sick for four weeks. Details surrounding Mkhwane’s illness were not known. Or at least not disclosed to anyone.

Menzi believes that art chose him. But, he did not go to performance art because of his famous father. Since, many actors of his age want to make it big on television. Menzi wanted to open opportunities for young actors in theatre.

With the masterclass, the 32-year-old says many artists in SA are caught between development and breakthrough. Moreover, very little has been dedicated to addressing this void. He says The Actor’s Shrine seeks to bridge that gap while equipping emerging performers. [ ³]

What the masterclass was really about according to Mkhwane’s son Menzi

“I think this will be an exciting experience for actors. Most people get excited by the idea of an accomplished man in his industry. Giving birth to a son who goes on to accomplish great things in the same field. We touch on how to understand and find your character. Moreover, the masterclass takes the form of an interactive demo lecture. Which includes live demonstrations, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. But the masterclasses are not free. So, people will have to pay a small fee.

“We will speak on their experience in the arts. So, we will be covering topics from their personal approach to acting to the politics of art. We will be looking at how to understand your character and be able to unpack it. There will be exercises in which involve audience participation that is aimed at enhancing and adding to the audience acting tools. They equip them with skills to approach the art of acting in a more truthful and connected manner,” said Mkhwane’s son.

Bheki Mkhwane had intended the masterclass to bring people to the true meaning of acting

The legendary actor believes that actors who are serious about their craft need to attend masterclasses at least once a year just to refine their skills. He says in Europe masterclasses are staged for seasoned and award-winning actors. Bheki was concerned that everyone in SA thought they could act.

“Acting is hard, you can never master it but you work on it. In acting, you do not get discovered but you work on your craft, and we become interested in your craft. We have celebrities and presenters who are now called actors,” he said.

“In this country, we have a sad situation where actors walk away from their craft and lose the truth. Acting is like a little baby that needs to be nurtured now and again. In fact, on Saturday (tomorrow), we are going to tell you that ‘if it [acting] is not there don’t even try, just go try another career.” Said Mkhwane.

According to Isibaya’s production team, Jessica was ‘taking a break.’ Philly Kubheka, M-Net’s head of public relations and publicity for local entertainment channels, wrote a statement to clear things up.

He said that Jessica’s planned trip to Ghana could explain why she left and hinted at a possible return.

The actress even said that she’s very much in love with her baby daddy and that their love grows stronger by the day.

    Who Is Jessica Nkosi’s Boyfriend?

Jessica Nkosi and Uzalo star, Ntokozo ‘TK’ Dlamini reportedly started their romance in 2017. They kept their relationship private until July 2018, when Jessica confirmed they were indeed a couple.

She posted a picture with her boyfriend TK on Instagram and Twitter. “… this is the first and last time you will see him,” Jessica wrote.

Jessica Nkosi and her boyfriend TK Dlamini were set to walk down the aisle. The actress did not confirm the engagement but was spotted with a gorgeous rock on her “ring” finger in August 2018.

Sadly, TK never got a chance to be Jessica Nkosi’s husband, as the two called it quits in September 2019. Their romance ended abruptly after Jessica discovered TK was allegedly cheating on her.

Jessica Nkosi put up this strong message on Instagram:

“To you who is seeing the father of my child behind my back, you are free to be with him fully now. *No more hiding lol*,” she wrote. Jessica added in a separate post: “And yes… I am heartbroken, shattered actually but you know what, I will be fine… Good in fact.”

It was Jessica’s loyal fans who helped her uncover the truth. They took pictures of TK and the other woman while they were sneaking about.

When Was Jessica Nkosi’s Baby Born?

Jessica Nkosi confirmed her pregnancy when she was on the cover of True Love magazine’s July 2018 issue. She also shared a picture of the cover on her Instagram page.

“So I have something to share with you all. I’m very sorry I’ve been quiet and kept you in the dark about me. I’ve been going through a few things and decided to take a little break and get alright but I’m much better now… Now I’d like to share with you the blessing that God has gifted me with (well not just me… US lol). I feel chosen and blessed beyond comparison,” she wrote.

At the time, Jessica didn’t share any details about who the baby’s father was. In celebration of her pregnancy, Jessica hosted a “Twinkle Twinkle Little Jess” themed baby shower in July and confirmed she was having a baby girl.

Some of her famous friends were there to grace the occasion including Thando Thabethe and Ntando Duma.

“I am so blessed though… I literally want to cry right now. Our little angel is even MORE BLESSED… She brings and exudes so much LOVE…” Jessica wrote on social media.

Jessica Nkosi held a second baby shower a few weeks later, and former Isibaya co-star Linda Mtoba attended the lavish event.

“You’re going to be an amazing mom and both of you are great parents. I hope she has your kindness and warm nature. How you’re able to love without words,” Linda gushed on Instagram.

“Parents,”. In another Instagram post, she published after the birth of their daughter, Jessica thanked TK for giving her the best gift. “Thank you, Nami,” she wrote.

And if that wasn’t enough confirmation, TK wrote a love letter to the baby in October 2018 that melted his Instagram followers’ hearts.

“A month ago, we received the greatest gift in the world,” he shared, “Dear Daughter, I promise to protect, lead, guide, provide and love you always. I also pray that God guides and shapes us to be the best parents we can be.”

    Jessica Nkosi’s Controversy

It hasn’t just been TK Dlamini’s cheating drama that’s added spice to Jessica Nkosi’s life. The actress has also been accused of cheating.

Some reports claimed that in January 2015, Jessica and fellow Isibaya actress Nomzamo Mbatha were no longer friends because of an alleged affair with Nomzamo’s fiancé at the time, Khaya Mthethwa.

After finding steamy text messages between Khaya and Jessica, she lashed out at the secret lovers. She sent them angry emails on the 28 of December and also gave them her “blessings” to carry on.

When their friendship ended, neither Jessica nor Nomzamo confirmed the reason. However, a 2016 interview on Expresso Nomzamo, did hint that she once had beef with someone in the industry.

“It was bad beef. We were friends and we’re not friends anymore. There’s no beef anymore, we’re having chicken stir fry,” she joked.
