    Learnership Location: Gauteng

    Sibanye stillwater academy invites young dynamic individuals from its local communities, interested in engaging in a Mining Learnership to apply.

    The following learnerships are available:

    • Learner Official Mining – Supervisor Operations Certificate Underground Hard Rock (NQF Level 4)
    • Learner Miner – Blasting Certificate Underground Hard Rock (NQF Level 3)

    Requirements:

    • Applicant must have a minimum Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Educational certificate, with pure Mathematics and English.

    Selection Criterria:

    • Applicants must achieve a psychometric evaluation outcome score of 4 or higher
    • Obtain a SAPS clearance certificate
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

    Learnership Outcome:

    Learners acquiring this qualifications will be equipped with the required competencies to supervise safe and efficient blasting and other associated mining activities in an underground environment.


    Please note:

    • Shortlisted applicants will need to undergo an interview process, psychometric assessment and screening, which will be considered during allocation of learnerships
    • The selection process will not be delayed to accommodate applicants whose screening process is delayed for whatsoever reason

    Requirements

    Application

    Online Application is made available during the year. Candidates may be required to complete an online assessment, (this will take approximately 30 minutes) before starting the application process. There are some learnerships offered where the application forms can only be collected by an office of the department. Candidates can inquire at their campus careers center for open learnerships within the department, or at the department office closest to their home.

    Most applications require a Z83 application form and it must be handed in with all required certified documentation. Candidates can download the form from their website. Please ensure the application is signed and completed in full. Incomplete forms, or forms missing attachments, will not even be considered. Faxed or e-mailed application will also be rejected, if forms have been collected at the office of the department within your area, it must be returned there. However, if you apply online you do not need to go to the office in your area.

    Successful candidates will be informed within 3 weeks to 3 months after the closing date of the learnership.     Duration: 12 Months

    GirlCode is excited to launch their Software Development Training and is offering a learnership for 30 unemployed women.

    GirlCode has partnered with AWS to train 30 unemployed women through a 12 month Software Development Engineer Learnership.

    It will be commencing on 1 April 2021 and running for 12 months on a full-time basis. You will work on practical projects, learn and practice with relevant tech and tools. Experience how agile teams need to operate in a business environment as well as soft skills to prepare them for the world of work.

    What makes this program particularly unique is that GirlCode has partnered with tech startups in which you can get their work experience from.
