GirlCode is excited to launch their Software Development Training and is offering a learnership for 30 unemployed women.

GirlCode has partnered with AWS to train 30 unemployed women through a 12 month Software Development Engineer Learnership.

It will be commencing on 1 April 2021 and running for 12 months on a full-time basis. You will work on practical projects, learn and practice with relevant tech and tools. Experience how agile teams need to operate in a business environment as well as soft skills to prepare them for the world of work.

What makes this program particularly unique is that GirlCode has partnered with tech startups in which you can get their work experience from.

• Can attend the Learnership full time at their campus in Midrand

The Wits Centre for Exercise Science and Sports Medicine is accredited for positions for Intern Biokineticists.

Candidates who have, or will be completing their Honours degree in Biokinetics and are interested in completing their internships in an environment that nurtures teaching and learning in all fields of Biokinetics, are invited to submit applications.

The positions are full-time, one-year contracts. Interested candidates who would like to apply must submit the following by: Friday, 14 August 2023

This position involves the effective coordination of procurement for and implementation of community and household food security projects and agricultural projects for agrarian beneficiaries under the guidance of the assigned Project Manager. This entails, but not exclusively; the legal contracting with beneficiaries, drafting of specifications, sourcing of quotations, compilation of tenders, advertisement and evaluation of tenders in accordance with the Procurement Policy and current legislation as well as appointing contractors, quality control of the work, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines and signing off the completed project.

Key performance areas, but not limited to:

• Project administration
• Assist with the procurement process
• Coordinate project meetings
• Maintain sound client relations
• Delivery of procured items to beneficiaries

To be considered you will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture
• No prior experience required however, knowledge in the implementation of projects and procurement in an agricultural environment would be advantageous
