NECTA Result 2023-2024
- The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) is responsible for conducting and publishing all National level examinations and results. On this website we will provide you with all information like exam timetable, results publish dates (Matokeo yaliyochapishwa ya tarehe za necta) and past papers. Once a student qualifies for the NECTA exam, he/she will be awarded a certificate that is well accepted in Africa and beyond i.e. Certificates recognized internationally.
- Some of matokeo ya necta will be announced in the month of October and in November candidates can view necta results online through the official website www.necta.go.tz. Below we have listed all types of exam which is currently conducted by The National Examination Council Of Tanzania (NECTA).

- SFNA: Standard Four National Assessment ( January 2020)
- PSLE: Primary School Leaving Examination (October 2020)
- FTNA: Form Two National Assessment January 2020)
- QT : Qualifying Test
- CSEE : Certificate of Secondary Education Examination
- ACSEE: Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination
- GATCE : Grade A Teachers Certificate Examination
- GATSCCE : Grade A Teachers Special Course Certificate Examination
- DTE : Diploma in Technical Examination
- DSEE : Diploma in Secondary Education Examination
How to check necta results via SMS:

www.necta.go.tz Result Online:
From 2020 the National Examination Council Of Tanzania (NECTA) developed online results system through official website (www.necta.go.tz). Now students of Tanzania can check their result online. Check below for step by step guide to get the result online
- Step 1 : visit www.necta.go.tz
- Step 2 : Find the “Result” in Main Menu and Click on “Search” from the submenu.
- Step 3 : The “Search Result” window will appear show in below.
- Step 4: Select your “Year” for necta results for e.g. 2016/2020/2020 e.t.c.
- Step 5: Select “Exam Type” for e.g. PSLE / QT e.t.c.
- Step 6: Enter Your “Candidate number” eg. PS0204011-132
- Final Step: Click on “Request” button.
N.B.: Do not forget to save/download the necta exam results for future reference.
Description of “Star Codes” Used by NECTA in Examination Results
- * S==> Results suspended pending clarification.
- * E==> Results withheld, pending proof of candidates’ payment/fees.
- * I==>INCOMPLETE Results due to candidates’ missing CA scores in all subjects offered.
- I ==>Incomplete results due to candidates’ missing CA scores in one or more subjects offered but not all.
- * W ==>Results withheld/nullified or cancelled.
- * T ==>Results suspended due to candidates’ attempting one or more subjects not registered for (pirate candidate).
