    About Kings College London

    King’s College London (informally King’s or KCL) is a public research university located in London, United Kingdom, and a founding constituent college of the federal University of London. King’s was founded in 1829 by King George IV and the Duke of Wellington and received its royal charter in the same year. In 1836, King’s became one of the two founding colleges of the University of London.     The Harilela Scholarships aim to support Hong Kong residents planning to study for a three-year undergraduate programme in the School of Management and Business. The Scholarships will be awarded based on financial circumstances, a personal statement, and academic excellence. The scholarship is intended to help support the winner with the cost of studying.

    Eligibility for KCL Harilela Scholarship 2023-24:

    Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • undertaking an eligible full-time undergraduate taught programme at King’s, 2023-24 entry;
    • resident in Hong Kong or China;
    • undertaking a course in,
      • BSc Business Management
      • BSc Economics and Management
      • BSc International Management
    • have provided written personal and supporting statements, and evidence of financial hardship;
    • willing to provide an end of year report and a letter of thanks to the donor.

    Value of the Scholarship:

    The value of each award is GBP 120,000 (GBP 40,000 per year, for three years) to support tuition fees, with any residual funds being made available as a bursary.

    About University College Cork

    University College Cork – National University of Ireland, Cork (UCC) (Irish: Coláiste na hOllscoile Corcaigh) is a constituent university of the National University of Ireland. The university is located in Cork.

    The university was founded in 1845 as one of three Queen’s Colleges located in Belfast, Cork, and Galway. It became University College, Cork, under the Irish Universities Act of 1908. The Universities Act 1997 renamed the university as National University of Ireland, Cork, and a Ministerial Order of 1998 renamed the university as University College Cork – National University of Ireland, Cork, though it continues to be almost universally known as University College Cork.

    Eligibility for the College of Business and Law Excellence Merit Scholarship:

    • Applicants from all nationalities are eligible (except the EU).
    • Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university.
    • Candidates should enroll to pursue a taught master’s program in any subject offered by the university.
    • Applicants must demonstrate the English Language requirement.

    Value of the Scholarship:

    Successful applicants will receive the following:

    • UCC First Class Honours or equivalent (1H): €3,000
    • UCC Second Class Honours, Upper Division or equivalent (2H1): €2,000
    • UCC Second Class Honours, Lower Division or equivalent (2H2): €1,000.
