Smite World Championship is a popular world championship for the multiplayer war arena online video game Smite. The first Smite World Championship was hosted by the Hi-Rez Studios from the 9th to 11th January 2015.
Smite World Championship Dates Registration Events Details. Teams from North America, Europe, South America and China traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to take part in the tournament. The $2.6 million prize pool for this kind of tournament was at that time the 3rd highest in eSports, & just slightly ahead of the League of Legends World Championships.

The 2016 iteration was organized from 7th to 10th January 2016. The iteration featured tournaments for both the Xbox One and PC versions of the game. The event was streamed on twitch.tv on the SMITE Game TV account. $1 million USD was the total prize pool for the PC tournament.
Smite World Championship 2017 was organized from the 5th to 8th of January 2017, as part of the Hi-Rez Expo event which also included a Smite console world championship. It was streamed on the Hi-Rez tv twitch account. The championship had a $1 million USD prize pool. The winner of this tournament was the European team NRG Esports, who earlier won the 2016 event under the Epsilon name.
The 2018 Smite World Championship was organized from 3rd to 7th January 2018. The prize pool was at its lowest of only $785,000. The North American team eUnited defeated EU’s Team Rival in the finals.
