About the Show: Canada’s Drag Race 2024

A Canadian reality competition television programme called Canada’s Drag Race is modelled after the American programme RuPaul’s Drag Race.
A group of Canadian drag queens fights for a $100,000 grand prize and the title of “Canada’s Next Drag Superstar” in a format identical to the American version.
The show airs on Crave in Canada, BBC Three in the UK, and WOW Presents Plus internationally.
Along with judges Brad Goreski and Traci Melchor, the show is hosted by Brooke Lynn Hytes, who finished second in season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
On Canada’s Drag Race, a total of 36 participants appeared.

On July 2, 2020, the first season’s first episode aired. On November 10, 2021, a third season was revealed, and it debuted on July 14, 2022.
The show has received favorable reviews and 18 Canadian Screen Awards. A fourth season, slated to premiere in 2023, was confirmed in November 2022.
Hytes, Goreski, and Melchor are anticipated to return to the judging panel, and casting took place between November 1 and November 22.

To apply, candidates must be 19 years old.
To enter Canada’s Drag Race, you must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.
Applicants must receive the COVID-19 vaccine as a whole.

Brock Edward Hayhoe (born March 10, 1986) goes under the stage name Brooke Lynn Hytes.
A drag queen, ballet dancer, performer, and television personality who is Canadian-American.
Hytes is the first Canadian to compete in the series.
Hytes achieved international acclaim for competing in RuPaul’s Drag Race’s eleventh season after performing with the Cape Town City Ballet and Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo.
Hytes is the first Drag Race contestant to hold the position of full-time judge in the franchise.
She serves as a primary judge on the spin-off programme Canada’s Drag Race.

A Canadian television personality is Traci Melchor. She is well-known for her work as a judge on the reality competition series Canada’s Drag Race and as an entertainment reporter for CTV’s etalk programme. Melchor was formerly a co-host of CTV’s The Social.
Melchor, who is originally from Pickering, Ontario, attended Seneca College to study radio and television broadcasting.
She began working for CHUM Limited as a CityTV entertainment reporter.
She also routinely contributes to Toronto’s CHUM-FM, CP24 Breakfast, CTV News, and The Marilyn Denis Show.

Brad Goreski, a Canadian-American celebrity fashion stylist and television personality, was born on August 15, 1977.
He became a co-host of Fashion Police in 2015. He has served as a regular judge on Canada’s Drag Race since 2021.
Goreski relocated to Los Angeles from Canada in 2003 to pursue a degree in art history at USC.
