This scholarship was introduced to support clarinet students at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance. The scholarship is in honor and memory of Anna Chmiel who was a clarinet student at the School.

Eligibility for the Anna Chmiel Clarinet Scholarship:

  • Applicants must be commencing or continuing music performance students with an honors degree in the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance at a Monash campus in Australia, OR
  • Candidates should be continuing music performance students with an undergraduate degree in the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • Students must be participating in an ensemble (composition students are not eligible), playing the clarinet.

Selection criteria:

  • Based on a combination of academic achievement and previous musical performance as determined by the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance.
  • Performance at an interview/audition.
  • Must have achieved a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 in your principal music study.

How to apply?

No application is required. All eligible students will be automatically assessed.
