Background of Alzavia Abrahams

Alzavia Abrahams was born in Parow, Cape Town in Western Cape Province in South Africa. His dream was to become an actor since the age of nine. But there wasn’t much hope for it to come true, so, he got a job to work at a call center. This job wasn’t fulfilling him so he resigned in September 2020 after working for three years to pursue his acting dream.

“I took a leap of faith and left my job during the Covid-19 pandemic to pursue my dream as an actor. By the grace of God, I got my big break in acting and today I get to see myself being viewed 77 million times outside of South Africa. “I took a leap of faith, I stepped out of my comfort zone and sacrificed money and stability, to pursue my God-given purpose. If it was not for God’s visions and dreams that he gave me, I would have never been able to have the courage to leave my job,” said Alzavia.

Alzavia is a model and an actor. He has traveled across the world doing modeling. He has been in USA California and is still to go countries. In 2018 Alzavia appeared on television series called Arendsvlei. The series was based on a Seemingly invincible family and the school they build from nothing. In 2021 he landed a role on Netflix’s series Blood and Water season 2 playing Zayd alongside side Greteli Fincham as Reece and Katishka Kiara as Pauline to cause all kinds of mischief in Parkhurst High School. Alzavia was Actor of the Year first runner-up in Los Angeles, California in United States of America.

Personal life and belief of Alzavia Abrahams

Alzavia is from Cape Town and he has got this bold Cape Townian accent. His religious beliefs are of Christian faith and he is not ashamed of it. In his interview with Netwerk 24, he quoted 2 Corinthians 5 verse 7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight:” explaining how he took a leap of faith when he left his job at call center to pursue acting. On his Instagram bio he has inserted Isaiah 46: 8 and wrote: “God first”.

“It is also important that you know whether acting is for you or not. I knew acting was my gift when I realized how much joy I can bring to people’s faces when performing in front of a crowd. But to all in general who have a dream to be something, it is just a matter of stepping out of your comfort zone, and taking that leap of faith. Society always wants you to think what you dream of is unrealistic. It is better to aim for the stars and miss than to not aim at all. So just have faith and walk with God in all your plans.” said Alzavia.
