M-TEK (Pty) Ltd was established in 1980 and has expertise in the manufacture, design, control and development manufacture of sub-systems and precision electro-mechanical components.
They are an atmosphere packaging and VFFS packaging machine manufacturer as well as a Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) systems leader in South Africa. M-TEK serves many markets in the food industry, such as poultry, meat, cheese and produce. They aim to extend the shelf life of products, improve product quality, and provide savings to costs all across the supply chain by providing their customers with packaging solutions.

DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Locations: Pretoria, Gauteng

M-TEK (Pty) Ltd is offering an internship opportunity for unemployed graduates. M-TEK maintains, produces, supports and develops electro-mechanical components and subsystems. As such, they are inclined to continuously maintain the necessary resources and ensure that they are readily available.

Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

  • Providing assistance with precise plating of Chromate Conversion of Aluminium; Electrolytic/ Electroless Nickel; and Silver
  • Performing regular checks, replenish and testing of planting chemicals
  • When required, providing assistance with any other workshop work
  • Ensuring fault correction and analysis is properly performed
  • Using calculations to build planting current densities, part surface areas, plating chemical ratios etc.
  • Ensuring checklists and planting procedures are completed and maintained daily
  • Ensuring chemicals are bought for the sake of chemical replenishment and maintenance

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must have completed Matric (NSC)
  • Must have completed a Diploma/ Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical
    OR a Higher Diploma in Chemistry
  • Must be fully commuted and partake in the programme
  • Must have high attention to detail
  • Must be an analytical thinker
  • Must be adaptable
  • Must be able to work in a high-pressured environment
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have a systematic work approach
  • Must take pride in work
  • Must be physically fit and have above-average strength
  • Previous work experience is not essential
