DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Ehlanzeni, Mpumalanga
Duration: 5 Months
IKUSASA Technology Solutions (Ikusasa) invites youth between the ages of 18 and 35, to apply for the IT Fundamentals learnership located in Ehlanzeni, Mpumalanga. Candidates with an interest in IT may apply.
The aim of the programme is to enable learners to:
- Effectively communicate with fellow IT staff & IT users
- Understand the role of technology in a business context
- Address business problems with appropriate IT solutions
- Comprehend notational systems
- Understand the basics of computing and explain the value of data and troubleshooting
- Understand how to set up and install common peripheral devices to a laptop or PC
- Learn to secure a basic wireless network
- Learn to manage applications software
- Understand components of an operating system
- Understand the purpose of methods of application architecture
- Understand confidentiality, integrity, and availability concerns of secure devices and best practice methods
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Grade 11 or Matric
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years old
- Must have basic computer literacy skills
- Must have basic communication and mathematical literacy foundational skills
- Youth residing in rural areas are encouraged to apply
- Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply
