Deal or No Deal Banker Audition 2025-2026 | Application, Requirements

We are pleased to inform you about the Deal or No Deal Banker Audition 2025-2026 | Application, Requirements

Who is the Banker in Deal or No Deal?

The banker’s name is kept under strict confidentiality, much like in the original Deal or No Deal. ITV has not disclosed the identity of the individual closing the agreements over the phone, and they have no intention of doing so.

ITV’s latest season of Deal Or No Deal airs weekdays at 4 p.m. With the exception of a new host and studio, the reboot follows essentially the same concept.

Its prize pool has also seen a major reduction, going from Channel 4’s lavish £250,000 to just £100k.

Before this, a source told us: “It’s a peculiar indication of the times, but ITV is going through hard times, just like every other company in the nation, and £100,000 is still a lot of money these days.

Is the new Banker in Deal or No Deal the same as the original person?

There will be a new banker because the show is new. For over ten years, the identity of the Banker on Noel Edmonds’ game programme Deal or No Deal was a well-guarded secret.

The only thing that viewers knew for sure about the Banker—who was a man—was that their identity was never verified on the game show. But throughout the years, there has been a lot of conjecture that the mysterious man was Coronation Street actor Glenn Hugill.

Glenn Hugill:

  • English television presenter, actor, singer, and producer Alwyn Glenn Hugill was born on February 8, 1970.
  • His most well-known roles include that of The Mole’s presenter, Deal or No Deal’s executive producer and banker, and Coronation Street’s policeman Alan McKenna in the 1990s.
  • Previously, he served as managing director of Possessed, an independent TV production business that rose to prominence as one of the UK’s most prosperous production companies.
  • Possessed had two prime-time game programmes, Moneyball (a game show) and Sitting On A Fortune, airing on ITV on the weekends in the autumn of 2021.
  • They have two game programmes on BBC called Unbeatable and Catchpoint.

Why is the New Deal or No Deal not hosted by Noel Edmonds?

After its 2005 premiere on Channel 4, Deal or No Deal aired for 11 years before being removed from the lineup. It was previously announced that Stephen Mulhern will replace Noel Edmonds as the program’s new host.

Since he moved to New Zealand, the original host is not involved. Stephen remarked, “Wow what an opportunity, I’m beyond excited to be hosting the brand-new series,” about his upcoming revamp of the game show.

“I’ve always been such a huge fan of the show, so much so, I’ve been practicing at home with small cereal boxes!… It looks so simple but it’s an incredibly compelling game for both those playing and the viewers watching at home”.

“It’s one of the greatest shows of all time and to be the new host is an honour! I can’t wait to get started.”
