An impromptu rundown on the history of the Forresters and the Spencers is given. A beloved son returns to town. Wyatt and Katie announce their engagement to their family and friends during a tense situation.

Wyatt and Justin engage in a heated argument over Bill and Spencer Publications. Brooke and Katie discuss the explosive relationship between Ridge and Bill and Bill’s threat to disown Wyatt.  Quinn flips when she learns what Bill has done to Wyatt.

Sheila and Ridge stare one another down at Il Giardino. Eric shares a secret about Quinn with Wyatt.

Seething over being manipulated by Bill, Thomas and Sally reminisce about how he broke them apart. Hope and Steffy attempt to help the man they both love, Liam, the best that they know how.

Sally defends herself when accusations are made.  Liam goes to visit Bill. Hope reveals to Steffy that she knows about Bill’s marriage proposal. A mysterious woman returns to town with a serious score to settle.

Enraged as her current circumstances, Caroline returns to Los Angeles and manifests her anger at Dollar Bill Spencer. Thomas comes clean to Ridge about the manipulation he and Sally endured at the hands of Bill and Caroline.

Ridge and Thomas have a truthful conversation about Bill. Detective Sanchez questions Liam.

Wyatt confronts Justin, demanding he show the papers proving he’s now the CEO of Spencer Publications. Overwhelmed by circumstances, Justin accuses Wyatt of shooting his father. Brooke worries about Ridge’s underlying anger towards Bill.

Det. Sanchez questions Wyatt and Justin. Hope reveals a secret about Steffy and Bill to Liam.

Having been betrayed by Brooke, Steffy now worries that Hope will tell Liam an important fact before she can tell him herself.  Hope does in fact tell Liam. Wyatt’s anger towards Bill is palpable. Steffy and Brooke tell Ridge about Bill’s proposal of marriage.

Detective Sanchez receives information that is helpful to his case. Steffy lashes out at Hope for spilling her secret to Liam and demands to know of Hope’s intentions towards Liam. Det. Sanchez continues to question suspects.

Carter gets called in to help the Forresters. Sheila keeps a close eye on Maya and Pam at Il Giardino. Maya begins to realize something is off with Pam. Justin isn’t pleased when Jarrett returns to Spencer making a request.  Chief Baker and Det. Sanchez look at all the suspects before an arrest is made.

Brooke rallies the Forrester family together in support of Ridge.  Steffy invites Liam to dinner. Carter pleads Ridge’s case to Det. Sanchez and Chief Baker. Liam asks Hope for advice about Steffy, while Steffy demands the truth from Bill.

Steffy attempts to focus on the future, but Liam seems intent on rehashing the past. Steffy makes a request of Liam to help exonerate her father. Brooke is amazed at Hope’s selflessness when it comes to helping Liam and Steffy reunite. Liam visits Bill in hospital to discuss the details of the night Bill was shot.

Bill reiterates to an unbelieving Liam that Ridge is the person who committed this crime. Eric fills Quinn in on the latest with Ridge. Quinn consoles Eric and reminds her husband that there are many possible suspects as Bill has used and abused people for years.

Steffy defends herself to Hope when Hope tells Steffy that everything that has happened is a direct result of her indiscretion with Bill. Detective Sanchez thinks that Quinn deserves a closer look.

Quinn is interrogated by Det. Sanchez. Hope worries about Liam being with Bill. Liam finds an important piece of evidence in the crime against his father. Upon learning Hope’s true feelings about Liam, Brooke advises her daughter to remain “just friends.” Hope tells Brooke that perhaps she could get through to Bill.

Thorne and Steffy visit Ridge and the three discuss other suspects.  Thorne is a bit taken aback at Ridge’s strong defense of Quinn. Brooke accuses Bill of using Ridge to settle a score. Hope helps Liam figure out his next move.

Ridge attempts to lighten the moment and reassure Steffy that even if Liam can’t get through to Bill, that he’ll be just fine.  He expresses gratitude that Brooke and Steffy are in his corner. Brooke and Det. Sanchez go back and forth about whether Ridge is guilty.

Bill is incredulous at Liam’s words and thinks it’s a ploy to get Ridge off the hook. Hope intervenes between Bill and Liam which irritates Bill. Steffy hopes that Liam will be able to get his father to exonerate her father.

At Brooke’s insistence, Det. Sanchez questions Bill about his story. Liam and Hope worry about the outcome. Katie and Wyatt discuss Bill’s insistence that Ridge is the person who shot him and then move on to discussing their future together.

Det. Sanchez reminds everyone that Bill’s testimony against Ridge is the primary piece of evidence in his case. Liam gets Bill to take a hard look at his own part in his current predicament.

Steffy, Katie, Wyatt, Eric, Quinn, Pam, Charlie, Maya and Carter are all gathered waiting for news on Ridge.  A celebration ensues when Ridge comes home.  Eric and Wyatt both wonder where the investigation is now, and if there is still an attempted murderer among them.

Thorne states that Ridge’s absence proves that Forrester Creations can do just fine without Ridge as CEO. Hope comes clean to Liam about her true feelings. Steffy wonders where Hope and Liam are.

Hope attempts to get Liam to remember the kind of person he really is and urges him not to question his own integrity because of what Bill and Steffy did. Ridge becomes more and more agitated as he recounts everything Bill has put him and Steffy through.

Brooke tells Steffy that she agrees with Ridge for being upset about Bill’s false accusations but reminds them both they need to now focus on finding the real person who shot Bill. Steffy worries that Hope’s absence means she is spending time with Liam.  Thomas and Sally share big news with the Forresters.

Steffy thanks Liam with a kiss for getting her father out of jail. She realizes she put him in a terrible position. Steffy asks Liam for a new beginning. Justin helps Bill settle in at home. Justin presses Bill for more details. Hope confesses to Brooke what she said to Liam.

Hope and Steffy argue about Liam’s well-being. Wyatt fills in for Bill at Spencer Publications while Bill recovers. Jarrett makes a big request of Wyatt. Bill attempts to converse with Liam who is still apprehensive about giving his father a second chance at a relationship.

Steffy makes a serious accusation against Hope. Wyatt takes action when Katie fears that they should still be very worried about Bill’s actions against them. Bill continues to try and build a bridge with Liam.
