ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:

In 1958, the South African Bank Note Company was first established as a joint venture between Bradbury Wilkinson (a British banknote printer) and the South African Reserve Bank (SABN.) The SABN then became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the South African Reserve bank in 1969 with its main function being to serve and provide quality banknotes to the nation. Today, SABN is a highly competitive security printing company that operates on a global scale and uses the latest technology and machinery in its production.

DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Duration: 36 months
Number of positions available: 11

South African Bank Note Company (SABN) is offering an apprenticeship/ learnership opportunity. This programme has 11 positions and is open to candidates interested in pursuing a career in Printing. The programme will run for a duration of 36 months, whereby the candidates will work and learn about the SABN.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must have completed Matric (NSC)
  • Must have achieved a minimum of 50% aggregate for Mathematics and Physical Science in Matric
  • Must have completed an N3 in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Must have a TT3 qualification (advantageous but not essential)
  • Must be willing to complete the entire 36 month programme

  • A certified copy of your Identity Document
  • Certified copies of all your qualifications as well as statements of results

  • Candidates will be required to undergo various mandatory assessments and security clearances as prescribed by the National Key Point Act.
  • Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups, in accordance with SABN’s Employment Equity goals.
