In an interview with Channel24, he shared that he did not attend the audition for the role.
Rather he went for a television show Nkululelo because he was unable to speak Xhosa.
His performance impressed the publication house that gave him a spot when they cast for Gomora.
“I had initially auditioned for the same production company that made Gomora when they did Nkululelo but I did not get the role because they wanted a Xhosa speaking lead and I am Zulu.
“They kept my audition tapes and when they were looking for someone to play Ntokozo I got a call to audition for the role and I got it and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
“I am humbled to be surrounded by such great and legendary actors to learn from,” he said.
Songs
The musician has dropped two singles to date. Ntobeko singles include All Night and Either Way.
He dropped the song All Night on the 12th of April 2019 and Either Way was released this year on April 24th.
Career
Ntobeko is a multi-talented musician and sings mainly RnB and presently, he is working on new music.
His new single is telling about a relationship and the heartbreak in it. Before the year ends, he has scheduled to drop an EP or a mixtape.
Ntobeko was an actor on the Mzansi popular series on SABC2 Signal High.
