“My heart and soul were broken. It was a really trying time and it broke my heart to have to pull away from you all. But it was needed,” she reveals
Following the heartbreak love came knocking once again, she revealed in an interview that she had rediscovered her strength off the back of a loving relationship.
“I am being taken care of (by my boyfriend) and he is very good for me, and creates an environment for me to work well.
“Although I am not mentioning any names, he makes me very happy,” she said.
She refused to mention the name of her man but The Soweantan confirmed that Berita was in love.
“She is with someone who she loves, and who understands where she currently is in her life,” said a source.
“He is not someone who is extensively in the music industry, but has had her back throughout her journey.”
Career
At first, the now popular musician has no interest in music. Though she was a church choir in Zhombe during the time she stayed with her parents.
At the age of 18, Berita began to write songs and bought a guitar. At the start, her parents did not support her starting a career in music.
They then sent her back to her country, Zimbabwe, thinking that she would focus more on her studies once she gets there.
Even amid protestations, she took her guitar on her way back to Zimbabwe.
She later dropped her first album Conquering Spirit for which she took home an award.
