About the Show:

A four-time nominee for the Loggie Award, Ready Steady Cook is an Australian cooking competition that ran on Network Ten from 2005 until 2013. It is modelled after the BBC’s original Ready Steady Cook series. Endemol is the owner of the format.

Nick Stratford, a former chef, hosted the show when it first appeared in 2005. It aired at 1:00 pm on weekdays. In January 2006, to align with Ten’s new daytime roster, former Nine Network star Peter Everett assumed hosting duties. It started airing at 2:00 pm in 2006.

It was revealed in October 2023 that Network 10 would bring back the series in 2024, with Miguel Maestre serving as the new host. The shows are scheduled to air on Friday nights.

Ready Steady Cook, the classic culinary competition show, is coming back. The call for entries is now open. We are seeking gregarious, sociable individuals who are passionate about food in general, cooking, and eating.

The participants have to be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
Participants must be 18 years old.
Participants do not currently work for the Producer, Network Ten Pty Limited, or any of their affiliated businesses as employees, officers, directors, or agents.
Participants need to be in good physical and mental health.
No history of criminal activity.

Miguel Maestre:

Australian chef, restaurateur, author, and television personality Miguel Cascales Maestre (born 5 November 1979) is of Spanish descent. He co-hosted the lifestyle television programme The Living Room.

Miguel’s Feast, Miguel’s Tropical Kitchen, and Boys Weekend are among the TV shows that Maestre has hosted. On Sunday, February 2, 2020, he competed in and won the sixth season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

Maestre received an award in 2014 from King Felipe VI of Spain for his “outstanding profile and representation of Spain in the Australian media”: the Cruz de Official de la Orden del Mérito Civil, or Officer’s Cross – Order of the Civil Merit. Maestre received the award in Canberra from Spanish Ambassador to Australia Enrique de Viguera.
