A few SRD applications were turned down because of SMALL details that needed to be updated. Here’s how to make your srd.sassa.gov.za Application For Reconsideration a success:
- Applicants will have to sign a declaration and consent to their information being validated and shared with other organizations and financial institutions such as SARS and banks. A detailed declaration and consent document is available on this website.
- During the application process, applicants are expected to agree or disagree to this document by confirming for instance through a yes or no option.
- Successful applicants will have to provide their banking details for payment purposes or their bank of choice for a cash transfer.
How To Send Your Appeal
Appeals are there if your application was denied the first time around and you want to be considered again, basically a second chance. Appeals for SASSA’s R350 grant are open.
- Go to the SRD Grant website
- Scroll down to ‘Application for reconsideration’
- Click on the yellow bar
- Fill in the required fields
If you’ve already lodged an appeal, you will then not need to send another or contact the SASSA office.

SASSA status check for R350 payment dates
When are the SASSA R350 payment dates? Expect the first payments to be made in the last week of August 2021.

- Scroll down to ‘Application for reconsideration’

- Fill in the required fields
The fields marked with * must be filled, if you leave them blank, the system will not go through and your appeal will not reach SASSA.
