ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:

RAM Hand-to-Hand Couriers was founded in 1988 by Chairman, Nathan Lazarus. Today, RAM is one of the top courier services in South Africa with over 1500 delivery vehicles transporting goods for customers around the country. With over 3000 staff members, the RAM employees are trained to deliver products efficiently and safely.

Many of RAM’s clientèle come from different sectors such as Cosmetics, Mobile Telephones, Information Technology, Telecommunications and Pharmaceutical industries. RAM’s aim is not only to satisfy their wide array of clientèle but also ensure that their staff is taken care of by increasing their skills via regular training and encouraging rewards programmes.

RAM is one of the only couriers in South Africa without third party sub-contract delivery involvement as well as being a major contributor to NPO’s and charities such as old age homes, children’s funds, religious organisations and disability charities.

DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Isando, Gauteng
Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 months)

RAM Hand-To-Hand Courier is offering a 12-month learnership. In this learnership, candidates will act as drivers for RAM and be required to sign both a learnership and a fixed-term employment contract. During these 12 months, the candidate will receive a learnership allowance and on completion, a NQF-3 in Professional Driving.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Age requirement: must be 18 and 29 years old
  • Education requirement: must have completed Matric or Equivalent
  • Other qualifications: must have a valid Code 10 or 14 drivers licence
  • Must NOT have a criminal record
  • Must NOT be employed/ studying or currently partaking in any other bursary opportunity
  • Must have good health
  • Must be eager to work through both theoretical and practical components
  • Must have excellent driving skills
  • Must be numerically orientated
  • Must be a good communicator
