Nursing is one of the most lucrative professions in the world. This has seen the number of institutions offering nursing courses on the rise. The minimum requirement for a certificate course in nursing is a C- with a relevant combination of the other subjects. For a Diploma in nursing, you must have attained an aggregate of C plain and C plain or above in English and Biology and a C- (minus) in one of the following, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.

Studying nursing without matric isĀ very difficult. If you wish to study at a university it requires matric but, if you take a health course through a TVET college it will equipped with the skills to do nursing. This however requires Grade 9.

Look left to see the entry requirements for a Nursing degree or diploma. According to the Western Cape College of Nursing, the minimum entry requirements for a diploma in Nursing is: Grade 12 (Std 10) ā€“Ā Minimum 28 APS points.

Diploma in Nursing (General. Community, Psychiatry) and Midwifery: Four Years: R425. Diploma in General Nursing Science (bridging Course): Two Years: R683. Diploma in One Year Midwifery: One Year: R254.
