How to Join Philippine Air Force 2024-2025 | full application guide

1. Through PMA

One of the most popular ways for you to join the Philippine Air Force is through the Philippine Military Academy, in which upon graduating in its four year program you shall commissioned as an officer.

PMA Qualifications
  • Natural Born Filipino Citizen.
  • Minimum height of 5 feet for both men and women.
  • Physically fit and of good moral character.
  • Single and has never been married.
  • Atleast high school graduate with 85% GPA.
  • Grade 12 senior high (K-12) may take the exam provided that they graduate before 01 June 2020.
  • At least 17 year and not more than 22 years old on 01 April of the year of admission.
How to Apply?

  1. Download and Accomplish the Application form of the Academy , or fill out the online application form if available. Upon completing and submission of application listed below are the documents you need to prepare and submit along with your application.
    • PMA (**Applications may be submitted online, personal submission, through mail or walk in application**)
      1. Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
      2. Photocopy of Form 137/Form 138/Report Card/Transcript of
        Records that indicates latest GPA
      3. 2”x2” ID photo in white background, taken within the last six
        months
  2. Prepare the respective documents you may need on exam day and wait for your exam permit
    • PMA (Requirements on Exam Day)
      1. Photocopy of Birth Certificate and Grades
      2. 2 x 2 ID Picture
      3. Valid ID (preferably school/driver’s license)
      4. at least 2 pencils ( no. 2)
  3. Take the Entrance Examination in your local testing center specified in your exam permit and application form.
  4. Patiently await for the results of the entrance exam, of which you will be notified if you had passed and be given instructions for the screening phase of the application process.
  5. Go through the screening process (Medical, Physical, Neurological Test and Personal Interview) at the specified location you have been instructed to go to.
  6. Patiently wait for the results, of which you will be notified what next steps to take before enrollment should you have passed the screening process.

2. Through PAFOCS

The Officer Candidate Course (OCC) offered by the Philippine Air Force Officer Candidate School (PAFOCS), accepts any college graduate willing to undergo training for a period of 15 months. Upon graduation cadets in this course are commissioned as officers in the PAF.

Qualifications:
  • Male or Female natural born citizen of the Republic of the Philippines
  • Educational Attainment: Must be a baccalaureate degree holder
  • Height: 5’0 for both male and female (Indigenous People/Member should submit certification from National Commission on

  • Age: 21 to 29 Years Old upon admission for training.
  • Single and no legal obligation to support a child or children
  • Physically and mentally fit for military training

How to Apply?

  1. Create and Register an account at the PAF Online Recruitment System and fill up the application form along with uploading the initial requirements
    • Fully Accomplished Application Form
    • Authenticated Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate
    • Authenticated Photocopy of Transcript of Records
    • Two (2) pcs 2×2 Picture with White Background
  2. Wait for your exam permit and prepare the following to be used and/or submitted on your exam day
    • Exam Permit
    • Original Copy of TOR and PSA Birth Certificate
    • Pencil Mongol Nr 2
    • 2 Valid ID’s
    • White Polo Shirt and Pants
  3. Proceed to the location of your examination center to take the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) and the Philippine Air Force General Classification Test (PAFGCT)
  4. Wait for the results of your test, of which if you had passed you will be given details regarding the next phase of your processing which would be the medical examination
  5. Should you have passed the medical examination you will be contacted regarding the details of the next phase of your processing which would be the Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
  6. Upon passing the you shall then be informed if you had qualified to belong the quota of the yearly recruitment cycle.
  7. The applicants who succesfully passed and selected for the Philippine Air Force Officer Candidate will be turned-over to Air Education and Training and Doctrine Command (AETDC), Fernando Air Base, Lipa City, Batangas for the conduct of LPE at Fernando Air Base Hospital prior to conduct training.

3. Through Enlistment

Like their counter parts in the Navy and Army, the enlisted personnel make the majority of the Philippine Air Force, employing people with diverse set of backgrounds and skills whether they be Highschool or College Graduates.

Qualifications:
  • Is a citizen of the Philippines:
  • Has completed 12 years basic education under K to 12: or
  • has at least 72 Units of a collegiate course from an educational institution recognized by the government:
  • Is not less than 18 years but not more than 26 years of age upon appointment as Candidate Soldier (CS). No age waiver will be granted for purpose of regular enlistment in the AFP.
  • Has the minimum entry height requirement of 152.4 cm (5’0”) for both male and female applicants/candidates for Major Services. Provided, however, that the Major Services Commanders shall prescribe their own height requirement depending on the different occupational utilization of the individual with the condition that it shall not be below the minimum height requirement of 152.4 cm (5’0”). No height shall be granted for purpose of admission in the AFP;
  • Is physically and mentally fit for military service.

  1. Create and Register an account at the PAF Online Recruitment System and fill up the application form along with uploading the initial requirements
    • Fully Accomplished Application Form
    • NSO Birth Certificate (Original & Photocopy)
    • Transcript of Records (College & K to 12 Graduates)/ Certificate of Grades (atleast 72 College Units)
    • 2 pieces 2X2 ID picture with white background
  2. Wait for your exam permit and prepare the following to be used and/or submitted on your exam day
    • Exam Permit
    • Original Copy of TOR and PSA Birth Certificate
    • Pencil Mongol Nr 2
    • 2 Valid ID’s
    • White T-Shirt and Pants
  3. Proceed to the location of your examination center to take the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) and the Philippine Air Force General Classification Test (PAFGCT) of which 2 hours prior to the actual examination of AFPSAT and PAFGCT, the applicants shall directly report to the designated testing centers and undergo initial Soldier Candidate screening.
  4. Wait for the results of your test, of which if you had passed you will be given details regarding the next phase of your processing which would be the medical examination
  5. Should you have passed the medical examination you will be contacted regarding the details of the next phase of your processing which would be the Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
  6. Upon passing the you shall then be informed if you had qualified to belong the quota of the yearly recruitment cycle.
  7.
