HomeChoice is a top omnichannel retailer in South Africa and was founded in 1985. In 1985, the company was a mail-order retailer for homeware products bought on credit to many consumers. In the 1990s, the growth and popularity of call centres helped introduce support order mail catalogues; independent home delivery networks were also established in the country; and by 1997, the HomeChoice website was created. In the 2000s the company launched the HomeChoice Development Trust with the aim to help support local communities in early childhood development programmes. The 2000s also saw the creation of FinChoice, which was made to offer HomeChoice customer’s financial services and products. In the 2010s a number of changes happened. From HomeChoice being created, offering personal technology and computer products in 2010, to the Cape Town offices being awarded a 5-star green building status in 2019. DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Duration: 9 to 12 months

Position: Merchandise Planning Internship

HomeChoice is offering a 12-month internship programme to retail graduates. The aim of the programme is to grant and teach the candidate formal working experience as well as equip them with the necessary knowledge and know-how to build a successful career.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

  • Must have completed Matric
  • Must have completed a Degree qualification in one of these fields: Retail Planning and Operations or Retail Management for Buying
  • Must NOT have a criminal record
  • Must have a clear credit record
  • Must be unemployed
  • No working experience is required
