Anwar Loitiptip (born in 1986) is a Kenyan Politician. He is currently serving under the position of the senator (second) for Lamu County. He is the senator in his place of birth.

Education

He attended Kampala University in Uganda, Anwar Loitiptip graduated with a bachelors degree in Tourism.

Political career

He is the current Senator for Lamu County. Anwar defeated incumbent Senator Abu Chiaba at the Jubilee Party primaries.

He proceeded to win the general elections to occupy the position as the second senator for Lamu County.

Wife

Anwar Loitiptip and his girlfriend, Saumu Mbuvi has been dating for a year and their affair started in 2019.

Their relationship started as best friends until it grew to this level. The couple met in Mombasa while Saumu was on holiday and Senator Anwar was there for work.

Saumu Mbuvi is the daughter of Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko daughter. She earlier dated Ben Gatu but left the relationship after he became violent.

Father

He was born into the family of Mr. David Kiwaka, his father. Anwar called for an investigation into a shooting his father was involved in.

Mr. David was shot and sustained a serious injury by a police officer. The man was shot in the leg and by an officer from Doldol Police Station in Laikipia County.

Anwar says his father was shot by police who tried to arrest him for not putting on a face mask.

“My father, David Kiwaka, has been shot in the leg and brutally injured by police officers at Doldol Police Station, Laikipia County.

“He has been rushed to Nanyuki Cottage. I am currently in Nanyuki pursuing the matter.

“Justice must prevail for my father. That’s why I am calling for speedy investigations and for the officer involved to be arrested,” said Mr. Anwar in a statement to the Nation.

Saumu Pregnancy

His girlfriend has confirmed that she is pregnant and was due in a few months.

Saumu further mentioned that she didn’t know the gender of her unborn child.

When asked if the child’s father, she gave an affirmative that it is Anwar. She also said that Anwar is happy and excited that she is pregnant.
