ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:

The Office of the Ombud for Financial Services Providers (FAIS Ombud) was established in order to promote consumer protection and enhance the integrity of the financial services industry by way of resolving complaints impartially, expeditiously and economically. The FAIS Ombud offices are situated in the east of Pretoria in Gauteng.

DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

The Finance Graduate Trainee/ Internship Programme by FAIS Ombud aims to equip recent ICT (Information Communication Technology) graduates with working experience, so that they may find a job within the sector.

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Duration: 12 months

  • IT infrastructure, Operations and Application Management
  • IT Security, Risks and Continuity Management
  • Project Management
  • Business Analysis
  • Change Management Processes
  • Network and Computer Configurations
  • ICT Governance

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be unemployed
  • Education required: must have complete a 3 year IT National Diploma / Computer Science / B-Tech IT
  • Working experience: none required
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment
  • Must be energetic and self-driven
  • Must be deadline drive / results driven / output driven
  • Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups (per the FAIS Ombud’s Recruitment Strategy)
  • Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply
