In this program, candidates are invited to apply for study programs at one of the Nursing Colleges: SG Lourens Nursing College, Chris Hani Baragwanath Nursing College or Ann Latsky Nursing College, as Diploma in Nursing (Midwifery, Community and Psychiatry). Requirements to be fulfilled by applicants are; must be 35 years for maximum or younger, must be South African citizen, must be resides in South Africa, and must be in possession of certificate leaving one of the school of National Certificate (Vocational) A senior Certificate or A national Senior Certificate or Primary Health. Together, subject criteria as follows are required. For senior certificate, English HG (D) or SG (c) / Biology HG (D) or SG (c) and an M score of 15. For current grade 12, applicants must meet in their Grade 11 marks the National Senior Certificate requirements and for national certificate (Vocational) Primary Health applicants must meet fundamental subjects 50% and Vocational subjects 60%.

The Department of Health invites citizens between the ages of 18 and 36 to apply ONLINE to study towards the three year Diploma in Nursing starting from this year at College of Nursing Only applicants with ALL the following compulsory minimum requirements will be considered

A Matriculation or Senior Certificate qualifying for admission for a Diploma degree or Grade 12 mid-year results; English at least Level 4 HG D / SG C) or above; Life Science Biology Physiology at least Level 3 (HG D / SG C) or above; Mathematics at least Level 3 (HG E / SG D) or Maths Literacy at least level 4 or above; Any one of Physical Science Agriculture Geography, passed with at least level 3 (HG E / SG D) or above; Minimum total admission point score (APS) of the six subjects with highest levels should not be less than 23 (excluding Life Orientation) and Resident of South Africa. You can apply in here: APPLY NURSING TRAINING

Each successful candidate will receive a bursary for the duration of their study in a form of monthly spend of R 4000, book allowance of R6 500 per annum, SANC regulation fee at the cost of the Department of Health, uniform allowance once per annum as determined by the DPSA and accommodation at the of the Department of Health There are no fees payable by the applicants to be admitted at the College of Nursing.
