What Is The Story Behind Black Coffee’s Hand Injury?

He and his grandma joined the crowds lined up the streets in celebration.  Suddenly, as he narrated on Real Talk with Anele Mdoda, he heard a bang that sounded like a shooting than a car crash.

The impact of the accident left him paralysed on the left arm. The good news was that it didn’t have to be amputated. The arm still had life in it so the doctors opted out of the decision to cut it off.

Black Coffee Talks About His Arm

In 2017, Black Coffee came clean about the story behind his arm after years of concealing his condition.

The popular DJ said that other kids would be mean to him because of his ‘imperfections.’ But he now says that everyone should fight to be the best version of themselves.

He said: “We all have little or big things that we don’t like about ourselves and we often put ourselves down before other people do. I’m personally working towards breaking those chains in my space, and I believe with this, I’m gonna unlock even more opportunities for myself. Don’t let anything pull you down.”
